2019 Outlook
Depth Chart
One Cleveland receiver I don't see taking a huge step back in production because of OBJ is 3rd year player David Njoku. Njoku built off his solid rookie season by posting a 56-639-4 line last year, finishing in the top-10 standard scoring at the position. Njoku is one of the most athletic tight ends in all of the NFL, and has improved his blocking and route running, meaning he doesn't leave the field often. He finished 5th in the NFL in snaps played by tight ends and his 89 targets where 7th best in the league. He still drops a few too many passes for how strong and athletic he is, but he should remain a big piece of what this offense wants to do. While I don't know that there is much room for his reception or yardgage totals to climb with Beckham in the fold, I do think he can improve his touchdown totals by a few, putting him squarely in line for top-10 production yet again. He's still incredibly young, and has fantastic upside in what COULD be a very potent offense.

Injury David Njoku set to practice Wednesday
Browns TE returns from IR
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Nov 20, 10:45 am

Cleveland Browns
#Browns Freddie Kitchens on TE David Njoku (wrist): "We'll see where he's at. If he can play only two plays, that's not going to help us." Says he's ready for full contact. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Njoku is coming off the IR for a wrist injury suffered in Week 2. How much he plays this week is uncertain but he's worth a bench stash if you have the roster space.

Injury David Njoku placed on IR
Broken wrist

Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns have claimed S Juston Burris via waivers from Oakland. In addition, the team placed TE David Njoku (wrist) on injured reserve. Njoku appeared in both games this season and recorded four receptions for 37 yards and one touchdown. He left the game Monday in the first quarter after suffering a concussion and wrist injury. (ClevelandBrowns.com)

FFToday's Take: It will be a lost year for the young Cleveland tight end. He'll miss at least the next 8 games and can be dropped in most leagues unless you have a deep bench. Demetrius Harris is the next tight end on the depth chart with Pharoah Brown and Ricky Seals-Jones filling backup roles. Harris is more of TE2 option for desperate owners.

Injury Njoku dealing with concussion and wrist injury
Wrist could require surgery
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Sep 18, 5:45 pm

Cleveland Browns
In addition to a concussion, Browns TE David Njoku suffered a wrist injury Monday night that could require surgery, per source. Njoku getting additional medical opinions to find out if surgery is necessary and how long he would be sidelined. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Njoku left early in Week 2 and it looks like he may end up missing multiple games depending on the diagnosis of his wrist injury. Behind Njoku on the depth chart is Demetrius Harris who's more of a one-week filler than a long-term answer at the position.
