Injury Miles Sanders optimistic about playing Sunday
Anticipates practicing Friday; suffered ankle sprain in Week 17
By: Doug Orth | Thu Jan 2, 6:30 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles do-it-all back Miles Sanders (ankle) is hopeful to practice Friday, and a source says his plan is to play vs. SEA barring a setback. It's a low-ankle injury, so the issue has been inflammation. He is improving. 'He wants to play,' the source said. (ESPN - Jeremy Fowler)

FFToday's Take: Even a limited practice on Friday would be a good sign for Sanders, although it's worth considering the possibility the Eagles will manage his workload on Sunday considering how well Boston Scott has played when he's been given a chance. If the rookie can play, expect something approaching a 60-40 split. Even with a scaled-back workload, Sanders is a threat for 100 total yards and a touchdown.

Injury Low-grade low ankle sprain for Miles Sanders
On track to play in Wild Card Weekend
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Dec 31, 1:38 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
An MRI showed #Eagles RB Miles Sanders has a low-grade low ankle sprain, source said. Inflammation is the issue right now; coach Doug Peterson said his star rookie is "going to be OK," a good sign for Sanders' chances of playing in Sunday's playoff against the #Seahawks (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: There's a good chance Sanders will be active this week against the Seahawks but how effective he will be is a different story. Boston Scott could have a larger role if Sanders is limited.

Injury Boston Scott has big day, Miles Sanders hurt
Eagles RBs a hobbled unit heading into playoffs
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Sun Dec 29, 9:35 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
Boston Scott became the sole running back after Miles Sanders left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury, rushing 19 times for 54 yards and three touchdowns in the Eagles' 34-17, Week 17 win over the Giants, adding four catches for 84 yards on six targets. Running back Jordan Howard, who hadn’t played since Nov. 3. was cleared this week after a shoulder injury but the Eagles obviously did not want to play him. (Philadelphia Inquirer)

FFToday's Take: Howard should be available for the first round of the playoffs, though we may see Scott assume more of the Miles Sanders role if that ankle isn't 100 percent.

Injury Jordan Howard ruled out
All systems go for Miles Sanders
By: Mike Krueger | Sat Nov 30, 12:15 pm

Philadelphia Eagles
#Eagles injury update: RB Jordan Howard (shoulder) have been ruled out for Sunday’s game. Eagles promoted TE Josh Perkins from the practice squad, activated CB Cre'von LeBlanc from Reserve/Injured and waived DT Albert Huggins. (Jeff McLane on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Howard was limited in practice this week but still needs to get cleared for contact before he can play. The Eagles will roll with Miles Sanders, Jay Ajayi and Boston Scott at running back against the Dolphins. The call-up of Perkins is concerning for the status of Zach Ertz (hamstring). Ertz owner should pay close attention to early morning reports tomorrow.

Injury Jordan Howard, Agholor unlikely to play
Alshon Jeffery expected to play
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 24, 7:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles RB Jordan Howard, listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, and WR Nelson Agholor, questionable with a knee injury, are both unlikely to play against the Seahawks, per source. WR Alshon Jeffery, listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is expected to play. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Jeffery's return will be welcome news to Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense. Expect Jeffery and the two tight ends (Zach Ertz) to be the focal point of the passing offense. Miles Sanders should see the majority of touches out of the backfield with Jay Ajayi and Boston Scott sprinkling in.

Injury Jordan Howard not expected to play
Shoulder injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 17, 7:00 am

Philadelphia Eagles
Eagles’ RB Jordan Howard, listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. Patriots with a shoulder injury, is not expected to play, per source. New Eagles’ RB Jay Ajayi, signed only Friday, is expected to make his 2019 debut Sunday vs. Patriots, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Eagles will be rolling with Miles Sanders, Boston Scott and newly signed Ajayi at running back. Sanders and Scott should see the bulk of work with Ajayi sprinkled in for a few carries. It's difficult to project Sanders as anything more than a RB2 given his unclear workload and a somewhat difficult matchup against the Patriots.
