Wide receiver Calvin Ridley missed all of last season due to violating the league's gambling policy while with the Falcons in 2021. The Jaguars picked him up because of his success in his first three seasons, averaging over 1,000 receiving yards and scoring 26 touchdowns from 2018-20.
The Alabama product has proven that he is proficient at route-running, catching and finding the endzone - three things that fantasy football managers hunger for. In the past couple seasons (not including 2022), he's been considered a WR1 in fantasy football, but the plethora of weapons Trevor Lawrence has and the QB's willingness to spread the ball makes Ridley more of a WR2. However, Ridley has the talent to break past his fellow receivers and early ADP indicates the fantasy community seems comfortable in this assessment as he's going ahead of Christian Kirk as we speak here in mid-June.

Christian Kirk expected to have surgery, core muscle That will be a wrap on Kirk's 2023 season By: Mike Krueger | Tue Dec 5, 12:55 pm

| | #Jaguars WR Christian Kirk suffered a core muscle injury on his catch last night and is expected to need surgery. Rehab for a core muscle issue is generally about eight weeks.
If Kirk is ready at eight weeks, he could play in the Super Bowl if Jax makes it. A little earlier puts him in the AFC Title game - if Jax makes that. (Ian Rapoport on X)
FFToday's Take: That will be a wrap on Kirk's 2023 fantasy season. The Jaguars will move forward with Calvin Ridley, Zay Jones and perhaps we'll see more of Parker Washington who went 6-61-0 on six targets in Week 13 against the Bengals. This is Ridley's opportunity move up into the weekly WR2 conversation.

| Zay Jones ruled out with knee injury Jacksonville down a receiver in Week 3 By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 22, 4:21 pm

| | Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee), S Antonio Johnson (hamstring) are out for Sunday. LB Josh Allen (shoulder), DL Foley Fatukasi (shoulder), S Andrew Wingard (shoulder) are questionable. Texans have 4 out: LB Denzel Perryman, S Jalen Pitre, CB Derek Stingley Jr., CB Tavierre Thomas. (Michael DiRocco on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Zay missed practice all week and won't play against Houston. Jacksonville has plenty of weapons at receiver and it's safe to assume the vacated targets will be soaked up by Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk and tight end Evan Engram. All are good plays in Week 3.
