Wants to take a month off for personal reasons
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Jun 4, 2:15 pm

New England Patriots
The Patriots have informed veteran TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins that they are releasing him, per league source. (Field Yates on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: ASJ reportedly wants to take a month off for personal reasons. The Patriots are currently left with Ben Watson (4-game suspension), Matt LaCosse, Stephen Anderson and Ryan Izzo at tight end. Fantasy owner can avoid the Pats TE position for the time being.

Patriots sign TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins
One-year deal
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Apr 10, 1:30 pm

New England Patriots
Source: the Patriots have signed veteran TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins to a one-year deal. Great chance to be a factor in their passing game. (Field Yates on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: ASJ was reportedly deciding between the Patriots and Seahawks. With Jacob Hollister, Stephen Anderson, Matt LaCosse and Ryan Izzo currently making up the Pats tight end depth chart, it's possible ASJ could have a fantasy impact on the field. The Patriots however got along just fine in the passing game without utilizing the tight end last season as much as they had previous seasons when Gronkowski was in his prime.
