| Michael Pittman Jr. undergoes surgery|
Diagnosed with compartment syndrome in his calf
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 28, 7:35 pm
|#Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. had compartment leg syndrome in his calf, source said, and he had surgery last night. It went well. He should be back the game after their bye. So, likely Week 8. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)|
FFToday's Take: Compartment syndrome refers to increased pressure within a muscle compartment - in this case, Pittman's leg - that causes increased pressure in the muscle and could have resulted in nerve damage if it wasn't treated as quickly as it was. From a fantasy perspective, he can be dropped in most redraft leagues for the time being, although there is a distinct chance he'll be useful near the end of the season. The Colts will move forward for the next month by likely relying more heavily on T.Y. Hilton, Zach Pascal and Mo Alie-Cox.

Missed Week 2 with Groin injury
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 24, 1:36 pm
|Jack Doyle is back at practice today for the Colts, a good sign for his availability Sunday. (Zak Keefer on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Doyle missed Week 2 with a groin injury which allowed Mo Alie-Cox to post a 5-111-0 line against the Vikings. Alie-Cox is the more athletic of the two tight ends but Doyle's return would spoil the fantasy upside of both.
| Parris Campbell out indefinitely with PCL and MCL injury|
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 21, 1:18 pm
|The most specific info I have on Colts WR Parris Campbell is as follows: Its a PCL and MCL injury. The course of action (surgery or no surgery) has not yet been decided. That will likely determine his ultimate timeline. For now, he’s out indefinitely. Big blow. (Stephen Holder on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: The Colts aren't the deepest team at receiver but can now rely on T.Y. Hilton, Michael Pittman and whatever tight ends are healthy. TE Mo Alie-Cox posted a 5-111-0 line against the Vikings in Week 2.
| Jack Doyle out for Week 2|
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Sep 18, 1:45 pm
|Jack Doyle, a two-time Pro Bowl tight end and quietly-efficient member of the offense, has been ruled out of Sunday's home opener against the Minnesota Vikings at Lucas Oil Stadium with knee and ankle injuries. The Colts initially believed Doyle would miss more than one game with the injuries.
The status of rookie wideout Michael Pittman Jr. is uncertain after the second-round draft pick sustained a toe injury in Thursday's practice. (Fox59 Indianapolis)|
FFToday's Take: With Doyle and Trey Burton (calf) out, Mo Alie-Cox should see increased snaps at the tight end position and is worth a look if you're desperate at the position. Pittman's toe injury should fly under the fantasy radar with T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell the top two options at receiver for the Colts.
