Injury Kerryon Johnson lands on IR with knee injury
Eligible to return in Week 15
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Oct 22, 2:05 pm

Detroit Lions
Kerryon Johnson is headed for injured reserve with a knee injury for the second time in as many years, dealing a major blow to Detroit’s running game and sparking more questions about his long-term health and durability with the team. Johnson injured his right knee during Sunday’s loss against Minnesota and underwent a procedure early Tuesday according to head coach Matt Patricia. He is eligible to return for a Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (MLive.com)

FFToday's Take: Welp, the Lions will likely be adding a running back soon but for the time being Ty Johnson will be the hot pickup on the waiver wire this week. J.D. McKissic will operate as the passing down back.

Injury Kerryon Johnson (knee) week-to-week with injury
Ty Johnson takes over early-down duties for Lions
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Oct 22, 10:53 am

Detroit Lions
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) on Twitter: "Lions’ RB Kerryon Johnson is expected to miss “some time” with a knee injury, per source. For now, Johnson will be called week to week." (ESPN/Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Backup RB Ty Johnson is the obvious choice to handle lead back duties in Kerryon's stead, but J.D. McKissic is a capable pass receiver who could make an impact in deeper fantasy leagues and DFS.
