Evan Engram, Daniel Jones ruled out for Week 14 Foot injury for Engram By: Mike Krueger | Sat Dec 7, 12:01 pm

| |
Daniel Jones (ankle) officially ruled out Monday night vs. Eagles. Eli Manning starts.
TEs Evan Engram (foot) and Rhett Ellison (concussion), CB Corey Ballentine (concussion) also OUT.
This means Giants will still not have played a game w/all top weapons on the field together (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Engram was trending towards playing after getting in some limited practices this week, but will sit out his fourth straight game. Kaden Smith will get the start and be a middling TE2 option.

Daniel Jones in walking boot with ankle sprain Eli Manning likely to start Week 14 By: Mike Krueger | Wed Dec 4, 10:53 am

| |
Daniel Jones in a boot + has moderate high ankle sprain, per Pat Shurmur. He couldn’t play if Giants had game today. Shurmur compared it to what Saquon Barkley had, slightly less severe. Barkley missed three games. So get ready for the return of Eli Manning on Monday vs Eagles. (Jordan Raanan on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It will be Eli Manning this week against the Eagles. On a positive note for the Eagles offense, it sounds like TE Evan Engram and WR Golden Tate could be back in action. This is a decent matchup for Manning against the Eagles who've given up the 16th most FPts to quarterbacks and the 4th most FPts to wide receivers.

Sterling Shepard not expected to play Week 8 Concussion By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 24, 1:08 pm

| |
Saquon Barkley (ankle) practiced fully for the Giants today.
WR Sterling Shepard (concussion) remained limited. He will not be playing Sunday in Detroit. (Ralph Vacchiano on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Another missed week for Shepard means Golden Tate and TE Evan Engram will be the top targets for Daniel Jones against the Lions. Shepard has suffered two concussions this season but does have a chance to return in Week 9 against the Cowboys.

Cam Newton has Lisfranc injury No timetable for return as Injury could keep Newton out indefinitely By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Sep 24, 11:12 am

| |
Joe Person (@josephperson) on Twitter: "With Panthers QB Cam Newton out indefinitely with a Lisfranc injury, per sources, the job could be Kyle Allen's for a while." (Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This is terrible news for Newton owners and good news for Kyle Allen -- who looked solid in Week 3. Newton could be out 4-8 weeks or more, if they shut him down again. Allen is a priority add if you need a QB and can't grab Daniel Jones -- and could even end up posting better numbers this season than the Giants new QB.

Saquon expected to miss multiple weeks High ankle sprain By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 23, 11:30 am

| |
The #Giants are expecting to be without star RB Saquon Barkley for the next several weeks because of his high-ankle sprain, source said. Not surprising given the nature of the injury and his presence with a walking boot and crutches on the sideline. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Wayne Gallman is presumably the next man up and will get matchups against Washington, Minnesota and the Patriots in the next three weeks. The Giants are likley to rely more on rookie QB Daniel Jones while Barkley is out making Gallman more of a Flex play in the coming weeks.

Daniel Jones named the Giants starter Rookie QB gets the nod, Eli Manning benched By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Tue Sep 17, 11:15 am

| |
New York Giants (@Giants) on Twitter: "Daniel Jones has been named Giants starting QB" (Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This means Eli Manning can be safely dropped, if you were still holding onto some hope of a resurgence for the veteran QB. The official tweet from the Giants came with a big picture of Jones -- a dead ringer for a young Jim Carrey -- staring awkwardly into the camera in his press photo. The Giants putrid offensive line won't help Jones pile up big fantasy stats, but the weak defense should help from a yardage standpoint. Still -- Jones is likely going to turn the ball over a lot when he's not giving it to stud RB Saquon Barkley, so he's not worth adding in most formats.
