2019 Outlook
Depth Chart
Rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel may not have had the hype of some of the other pass catchers selected in this year's draft, but very few have a better path to immediate targets than Samuel does here in 2019. With only unproven second-year wide receiver and inconsistent veteran Marquise Goodwin being locked in ahead of him on the depth chart heading into the season, Samuel could very well find himself starting quite a few games despite only being a second-round draft pick.

The biggest problem for Samuel is that his skill set does overlap with other pass catchers in this offense, particularly the aforementioned Pettis, who flashed at times as a rookie. It's also worth considering that Pettis was not the only receiver who the 49ers selected in this year's draft, as they did also add Jalen Hurd a round later than Samuel, whom many had ranked within their top 10 at the position in the class.

Realistically, Samuel's upside in 2019 is fairly limited, but he does have the requisite skill set to be a contributor in the long run at the NFL level. He's an interesting player in dynasty leagues where we can watch him develop and hopefully eventually become an every week starter in this San Francisco offense, but he lacks much upside to be anything better than a WR3/Flex play even in the best case scenario here in 2019.

Injury George Kittle expected to play
Knee injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 24, 7:15 am

San Francisco
49ers’ TE George Kittle, listed as questionable with ankle and knee injuries, is expected to play tonight against the Packers, per source. WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, also is expected to play. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Kittle has missed the last two games which has allowed Deebo Samuel (8-112, 8-134) to post his two best games of the season. With Kittle and Emmanuel Sanders expected to suit up, Samuel's fantasy stock takes a hit into WR3 territory.

Injury Kittle, Deebo, Sanders listed as Questionable
Gametime decisions
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 22, 4:00 pm

San Francisco
The 49ers officially are listing George Kittle, Emmanuel Sanders and Deebo Samuel as questionable, Kyle Shanahan says. (Matt Barrows on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: For what its' worth, all three were wearing no-contact jersey's in practice on Friday. Given that Sanders was able to play last week, it's likely he will give it a go this week. Kittle and Samuel can be classified as gametime decisions. The 49ers and Packers play Sunday night making it difficult for fantasy owners setting lineups in Week 12.

Injury Kittle, Deebo non-contact at Thursday's practice
Long injury list for 49ers
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Nov 21, 3:40 pm

San Francisco
Baby steps: George Kittle is back at practice today. He’s wearing a blue jersey that signals he’s not to have any contact. Deebo Samuel (shoulder) also practicing in a blue jersey. Emmanuel Sanders is not practicing, but he’s looking far more spry in his rehab than he did last week. Matt Breida (ankle), Dee Ford (hamstring) working out on a side field. Robbie Gould was not practing. (Matt Barrows on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The 49ers are beat up at the receiving positions and it remains to be seen who will suit up on Sunday night against the Packers. Head coach Kyle Shanahan said earlier in the week that Kittle, Sanders, Samuel and Breida would all "come down to the wire."

Injury Emmanuel Sanders expected to play
Rib injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 17, 7:17 am

San Francisco
49ers’ WR Emmanuel Sanders, listed as questionable for today with a rib injury, will play Sunday vs. Cardinals, per source. 49ers’ RB Matt Breida, listed as doubtful for today with an ankle injury, will not play vs. Cardinals, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: This is likely a pain tolerance issue for Sanders making him a risky play for fantasy owners. With George Kittle out and Sanders ailing, this is a decent spot against Arizona for Deebo Samuel to lead the team in the WR production.
