2021 was the coming out party for Dillon. He led the Packers ground game with a team leading 187 rushes, 803 yards, and 5 touchdowns. He also displayed deft pass catching ability with 34 receptions for 313 yards. If the ascension to 1A status in the backfield seemed impossible after his rookie year, it's now a reality entering year 3. With the Packers entering a transition period on offense this season, I expect things to start out on a conservative slant. It's crazy to think about the fantasy value this duo produced last year, but there lies the problem. The presence of Jones caps Dillon's value (and vice-versa), making it highly unlikely he can significantly improve on 2021's numbers. While the upside is murky for Dillon, what's crystal clear is that he's much more than just a handcuff for Jones. He's going to offer standalone RB2 value, with possible elite production should Jones go down.

AJ Dillon out of concussion protocol Left Week 15 early By: Doug Orth | Tue Dec 20, 11:00 pm

| | AJ Dillon has cleared concussion protocol, Matt LaFleur says. (The Athletic - Matt Schneidman)
FFToday's Take: Dillon cleared the protocol less than 24 hours after suffering what was feared to be a concussion. This means he'll likely be good to go against a Miami defense that has been stingy against running backs on the ground but relatively soft against them through the air. Even better, Dillon is seeing the usage and producing in a way recently that most expected when he was a fifth-round pick in fantasy drafts this summer. Dillon should be considered a usable RB2 and a strong flex option this weekend.

| Ankle for Aaron Jones checks out OK, should play in Wk10 Tests came back negative By: Mike Krueger | Mon Nov 7, 10:07 am

| | Tests on Packers’ RB Aaron Jones’ ankle today came back negative and, according to a source, “(Jones) should be able to play this week.” (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Leaving early with an ankle injury, Jones saw only 11 touches in Green Bay's disaster against the Lions in Week 9. In his place, AJ Dillon took on a 66 percent snap share with Kylin Hill making a brief appearance. It sounds like Jones will be on the field in Week 10 against the Cowboys.
