| Decision on Wentz may not come until Sunday|

|#Colts practice squad QB Brett Hundley took the majority of starter reps in practice Wednesday, and he and Jacob Eason may both play against the #Titans if Carson Wentz is out, per sources.
There’s still hope Wentz (ankles) can play. Final decision may not come until Sunday. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: This is turning into a situation to avoid for fantasy owners. Even if Wentz plays, which seems unlikely at this point, he's going to be limited. The coaching staff obviously doesn't have a lot of confidence in Eason. All Colts skill position players should be downgraded in Week 3.

Titans on deck in Week 3

|#Colts QB Carson Wentz is dealing with injuries to not just one ankle, but both ankles sources say. He’s having tests today to determine the severity of his sprains suffered yesterday. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: Wentz injured his foot during training camp and is now being bothered by sprained ankles. He was a fringe consideration in 2-QB formats but is trending in the wrong direction. If Wentz misses time, Jacob Eason isn't going to move the fantasy needle even against a suspect Titans defense in Week 3.

FFToday's Take: Wentz is three weeks removed from his foot surgery that reportedly had a 5-12 week timeline. Colts first game is three weeks away. Wentz is trending to meet the low-end of his recovery time but it's anybody's guess what lingering effects he may have. The Colts offense is going to suffer with either Sam Ehlinger or Jacob Eason under center.

FFToday's Take: Both players were originally under the odd 5-12 week timetable for recovery. Such a large time gap doesn't give fantasy owners much clarity on the situation but it's nice to know that Wentz appears to be trending towards the earlier time frame. Camp notes on backups Jacob Eason and Sam Ehlinger haven't necessarily been glowing. Wentz should still be treated as a no touch in most single QB leagues.
| Carson Wentz will have surgery on injured foot|
Out 5-12 weeks

|Colts coach Frank Reich says QB Carson Wentz will have surgery on his injured foot.
Team leaned the pain stems from an injury Wentz previously suffered - possibly even back in high school.
5-12 week timetable. Very wide range. (Zak Keefer on Twitter)|
FFToday's Take: According to Reich, the starting job is now in the hands of Jacob Eason who was drafted in the 4th round last year. The wide timetable for Wentz's recovery doesn't help fantasy owners very much. In addition this scenario isn't ideal for the fantasy prospects of the Colts passing game. Wentz is a no-touch in single QB leagues until further notice.

Out indefinitely as he undergoes further testing

|Colts' QB Carson Wentz is out indefinitely as he undergoes further testing on a foot injury that he suffered at the end of Thursday's practice, per @MikeWellsNFL and me.

FFToday's Take: Not ideal. Foot injuries can be tricky but we need to wait for the official diagnosis before projecting how this affects his fantasy status.
