Nico Collins finally had the necessary quarterback play that allowed him to put his talent on display. With Stroud delivering passes, Collins burst onto the scene in a big way, finishing the year as the WR7 in PPR leagues.
Not only did Collins fill his highlight reel with flashy plays, he also was among the league's most efficient receivers. He became just the fifth receiver to ever post at least 3.00 yards per route run. Collins was joined by Tyreek Hill as the only player to achieve this feat last year.
There is new competition in town this year in the form of Stefon Diggs and it's unrealistic to expect another season of 16.2 yards per reception. While this caps Collins' overall ceiling, it should not lead to drafters shying away from him. He has proven to be an immensely talented receiver who will maintain a prominent role in the offense.

Nico Collins should play in Week 11 Sidelined by hamstring injury since Week 5 By: Doug Orth | Tue Nov 12, 10:00 pm
| | Expectation is for #Texans star wide receiver Nico Collins to practice all week and then make his return Monday night against the #Cowboys per multiple league sources. 'He's 100 percent ready to go,' a source said.
(KPRC - Aaron Wilson)
FFToday's Take: HC DeMeco Ryans noted Collins did not have a setback before the team somewhat surprisingly made him inactive Sunday - two days after activating him off IR. While the logic of not playing him because he did not have a full practice week is sound (as Ryan later suggested), it makes little to activate him when they did. Regardless, a date against the Cowboys sets up as a potential big game for Collins, who should be in lineups this week barring a setback.
| Nico Collins, Tank Dell listed as Questionable for Week 10 Nico limited in practice on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 8, 4:03 pm
| | Houston also added Tank Dell to the injury report with a back injury and he is now questionable. Pass rusher Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) is out. WR Nico Collins, who just returned to practice today after missing a month with a hamstring injury, is listed as questionable for Sunday night vs. the #Lions. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: The Texans don't play until Sunday night so this is going to be a tricky situation for fantasy owners. Nico missed practice Wednesday and Thursday before being limited on Friday. If he does play, he could be limited making him a risky Flex option in Week 10.
| ACL injury confirmed for Stefon Diggs Out for the season By: Mike Krueger | Tue Oct 29, 1:36 pm
| | A big loss: Texans WR Stefon Diggs suffered a season-ending knee injury Sunday vs. the Colts. What makes the season-ending torn ACL worse for Stefon Diggs is that he is on an expiring contract and set to become a free agent this off-season. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Texans have missed Nico Collins for the last couple games and will now be without Diggs for the rest of the season. Tank Dell has been a disappointment this season but is going to be needed even more now beginning Thursday night against the Jets. Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods and John Metchie are next up on the depth chart.
| Nico Collins placed on IR, hamstring injury Will miss at least the next four games By: Mike Krueger | Wed Oct 9, 10:30 am
| | Texans are placing WR Nico Collins on injured reserve due to his hamstring injury. He will be sidelined a minimum of four games. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The hamstring bites another. Collins was injured in Week 5 on a 67-yard TD catch but will now miss the next 4 games. The earliest he could return would be Week 10 against the Lions. The Texans don't have their bye until Week 14. Xavier Hutchinson finished out the game in Nico's role so he's worth a look if you need WR help. Perhaps more target will flow to Tank Dell in the coming weeks.
| Houston offers updates on Joe Mixon, Nico Collins RB still in limbo for Week 6, WR week-to-week with hamstring issue By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 7, 7:30 pm
| | DeMeco Ryans on Nico Collins: "He's in good sprits. It takes a couple of weeks for a hamstring. So we'll evaluate him on a week-to-week basis."
Ryans said he's not sure if Joe Mixon will be available this week. Still trying to figure that out.
(Jonathan Alexander on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Collins' injury occurred on his 67-yard touchdown catch late in the first quarter and did not appear to be too significant at the time, so it comes as a surprise that he might miss more than one game. Xavier Hutchinson stepped up in his absence, but fantasy managers should expect much more Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell if Collins cannot play in Week 6. As far as Mixon, he did not practice at all last week, which probably means he is off to a bad start if he hopes to play this weekend against the Patriots. Cam Akers, Dare Ogunbowale and maybe even Dameon Pierce could see work in his absence.
| Tank Dell unlikely to play in Week 4 Missed practice Thursday, ribs By: Mike Krueger | Thu Sep 26, 1:34 pm
| | #Texans’ Tank Dell managing pain of bruised ribs, unlikely to play against Jaguars; Joe Mixon, Dameon Pierce still sidelined @KPRC2 (Aaron Wilson on X)
FFToday's Take: Dell has missed practice both Wednesday and Thursday due to a rib injury. If he misses Week 4 against Jacksonville, expect more receiving production from Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and TE Dalton Schultz. Cam Akers is trending to get another start as well.
