Injury Brandon Aiyuk not expected to play Week 3

The 49ers also elevated receiver Chris Conley and cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles from the practice squad. Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) is not expected to play against the Giants while cornerback Ambry Thomas (knee) is questionable for the game. (Matt Barrows on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: After injuring his shoulder in Week 2, the 49ers have decided to play it safe on a short week and sit one of their better offensive players. With Aiyuk out, Deebo Samuel might see some increased usage but don't be surprised if TE George Kittle and running back Elijah Mitchell get more work in this game.
