The former 4th rounder out of Coastal Carolina has carved out quite a niche for himself in Baltimore. His athletic profile, and production has forced the Ravens to get him on the field, and after last season, it's clear he's more than simply a backup to Andrews. Likely set career highs in receptions (42), yards (477) and touchdowns (6), and looks to have an increased role in 2025. While not as big as Andrews, Likely plays more like a receiver, and threatens defenses in a different area of the field. When the Ravens go 12-personnel (two tight ends) defenses have to respect both the run game, and Likely's ability to go deep on crossing routes. While he has the talent to be a top-5 player at the position, only the presence of Andrews is holding him back. With that, he should still see enough looks to be a fantasy starter with the upside to be a whole lot more.

 Isaiah Likely avoids IR
TE still recovering from late July foot injury

|  | Ravens did not place TE Isaiah Likely on injured reserve, which means he’s eligible to play in Baltimore’s first four games. Likely suffered a small fracture in his foot in late July and has yet to return to practice. (ESPN.com - Jamison Hensley)
FFToday's Take: This news is unlikely to matter much in Week 1, but Likely is the rare "backup" tight end who is a surefire TE1 if/when Mark Andrews misses time. Unfortunately for Likely, he is almost certain to need some ramp-up time before he can contribute in fantasy. He's still worth a stash late in drafts, especially for managers who invested a pick in Andrews.

FFToday's Take: Likely is scheduled to have surgery on his foot. The timetable for recovery is six weeks which gives him a chance to be available for Week 1. Even if he's ready for the start of the season, a slow or limited start should be expected. He's lost some of his ceiling but Likely should still be considered a strong TE2 by mid-season.
