2022 Outlook
Depth Chart
London is big (6-4, 219) and long (33" arms) and can align on the perimeter or the slot. He was extremely productive at USC when healthy, and that will be his biggest test early on. It's hard not to envision him literally being handed a starting spot in this offense, but he will have to stay on the field. He's fully healed from his ankle surgery in October, and though Kyle Pitts and Cordarrelle Patterson will be early targets, he could put up WR3 production. Just watch out for that rookie wall in November.

Falcons make the switch at QB, Desmond Ridder to start
Rookie will start Week 15
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Dec 8, 10:38 am

Atlanta Falcons
It's done: Falcons rookie Desmond Ridder will make his NFL debut and start next week against the Saints, a source told @TheAthletic. Ridder and veteran Marcus Mariota were informed of the decision this morning by coach Arthur Smith. (Jeff Schultz on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Arthur Smith indicated changes were coming after Atlanta's Week 13 loss to the Steelers. Mariota is currently the QB21 in fantasy points per game. We should see more emphasis on the pass game with Ridder at quarterback in Week 15. Will that translate into increased value for Drake London? We shall see.

Calvin Ridley shipped to Jacksonville
Suspended Falcons WR dealt for two picks
By: Doug Orth | Tue Nov 1, 5:25 pm

Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jags have acquired suspended WR Calvin Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday, per sources informed of the situation. The Falcons' trade return is two future draft picks that can range from a maximum compensation of a 2023 fifth-rounder and a 2024 second-round pick, which will be conditional upon Ridley's reinstatement. Should Ridley be reinstated past a certain date, the 2023 fifth-round pick will turn into a sixth-rounder, per Rapoport. If Ridley makes the team in 2024, the second pick will be worth at least a fourth-rounder. A playing-time milestone converts the pick into a third-rounder and the Jaguars will give up a 2024 second-round pick if the team strikes a long-term deal with Ridley. (Around the NFL - Kevin Patra)

FFToday's Take: In theory, this is great news for the fantasy values of Ridley, Kyle Pitts and Drake London. From Jacksonville's perspective, Ridley should give Trevor Lawrence a proven alpha receiver. He should be in far better fantasy situation with Lawrence than with whatever quarterback is running the show in Atlanta in 2023. As for the Falcons, Ridley's departure likely means that Pitts and London won't have another supremely talented pass-catcher stealing targets from them moving forward.

Injury Kyle Pitts Out for Week 5, hamstring injury
Missed practice all week
By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 7, 12:00 am

Atlanta Falcons
Tight end Kyle Pitts has been formally ruled out of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Falcons announced on Friday. Pitts didn't practice all week due to a hamstring injury, falling in line with the fact he's now unavailable for this divisional matchup. (AtlantaFalcons.com)

FFToday's Take: Being ruled out Friday, doesn't bode well for Week 6. With Cordarrelle Patterson placed on IR earlier in the week, the Falcons now find themselves with only one playmaker, rookie Drake London, as they take on the Bucs in Week 5. Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley will handle the running back duties.
