Coming into the NFL Pickens was compared to fellow Bulldog A.J. Green, and boy were those comps accurate. Raw, but simply dazzling at times with elite body control and athleticism, Pickens flashed massive potential after a slow start to the season, and displayed clear chemistry with fellow rookie Kenny Pickett. Pickens was 15th amongst receivers with 17 receptions of 20+ yards, and an impressive 73% of his receptions went for 1st downs. Great numbers especially for a rookie who only made 12 career collegiate starts. The pair were dynamic at times, and have the opportunity to grow into the next young QB-WR combo. If Pickens can continue to fine-tune his route running, and scheme discipline, he has the athletic talent to be a WR1. How quickly he and Pickett develop is going to be key, but I love him as a high upside WR3 in standard leagues who has league winning potential.

Diontae Johnson activated, Freiermuth placed on IR Steelers gain one weapon, lose another By: Mike Krueger | Sat Oct 21, 8:48 am

| | Steelers activated WR Diontae Johnson from injured reserve to the active roster and placed TE Pat Freiermuth on injured reserve. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Johnson hasn't played since injuring his hamstring in Week 1. It's likely he would've played last week but the Steelers were on a bye. He'll return to the starting lineup opposite George Pickens and face a Rams defense that's given up just touchdowns to opposing WRs.

| Diontae Johnson lands on IR, hamstring injury Will miss the next four games By: Mike Krueger | Mon Sep 18, 4:18 pm

| | The #Steelers placed WR Diontae Johnson on IR. He's out at least four games. (Tom Pelissero on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: This seemed like the logical outcome as Johnson's injury seemed severe enough that he wasn't going to play anytime soon. The Steelers will head into their Monday night clash with the Browns with George Pickens, Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin as their top three wideouts.

| Diontae Johnson expected to miss multiple weeks, hamstring Hamstring injury in Week 1 By: Mike Krueger | Tue Sep 12, 9:59 am

| | Steelers’ WR Diontae Johnson is expected to be sidelined “a few weeks” due to the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday vs. the 49ers, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Johnson is just one of many players bitten by the hamstring bug this season. The Steelers will move forward with George Pickens, Allen Robinson and Calvin Austin as their top three receivers. Robinson will likely move to the outside with Austin in the slot. Pittsburgh does have a bye in Week 6, so it may not be until Week 7 before Johnson returns.
