2023 Outlook
Depth Chart
It will certainly take a few things to work in his favor, like the Ravens becoming a top 5 passing team, or injuries taking out Bateman and OBJ, but there is a world where Zay Flowers becomes a fantasy steal. With multiverses being so popular at the box office lately, imagine a scenario where Flowers is thrust into an every-down role because of nagging injuries to the starters. He's uncoverable in the slot, looks like his role model Steve Smith Sr., and Jackson has evolved as passer. He uses his slippery wiggle to make plays after the catch and becomes a reliable weekly WR3.

Unfortunately, there is an equally possible scenario where the receivers stay healthy, or the passing game struggles to gel and Flowers is deployed sparingly as he develops as a young player (much like Steve Smith Jr.). If you've noticed a boom/bust sort of theme to this Ravens outlook you aren't wrong. Draft them in the right spot and they could contribute to a championship run. Overdraft, or rely too heavily on any one guy, and disaster could loom. Either way, I think Flowers is a year away from being a bigger part of offense, but don't be afraid to make him a priority waiver add.

Increased opportunities for Rashod Bateman in 2024
HC John Harbaugh expects a leap for Bateman
By: Mike Krueger | Tue Feb 27, 11:48 am

Baltimore Ravens
Ravens coach John Harbaugh is expecting a big season out of former first-round pick Rashod Bateman. "I think Rashod Bateman's going to take a big step," he said. "I think Rashad's going to get opportunities this year. He ran routes really well. He worked super hard." (Jamison Hensley on X)

FFToday's Take: This is the second time this off-season Harbaugh has mentioned more work for Bateman in 2024. With Odell Beckham Jr. a free agent, Bateman could easily assume a portion of his snaps assuming the veteran isn't resigned. Bateman's ceiling however seems to be capped given the running nature of the offense and receiving options Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews not going anywhere.

Ravens sign WR Nelson Agholor, one-year deal
Finished 5th in targets for the Ravens in 2023
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Feb 18, 4:56 pm

Baltimore Ravens
Ravens signed WR Nelson Agholor to a one-year contract extension. (Adam Schefter on X)

FFToday's Take: The Ravens receiving room didn't have much value outside of Zay Flowers last season. Agholor finished the year with a 35-381-4 line and wasn't much of a fantasy factor. At best he'll be fourth in the pecking order for targets next season behind Flowers, TE Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman.

Injury Mark Andrews listed as Questionable
Practiced in full on Thursday and Friday
By: Mike Krueger | Thu Jan 18, 4:09 pm

Baltimore Ravens
Ravens injury report vs Texans 🏈TE Mark Andrews is questionable after his second straight full practice 🏈CB Marlon Humphrey and WR Tylan Wallace have been ruled out 🏈WR Zay Flowers and OLB Odafe Oweh not given any injury designations after full practices (Jamison Hensley on X)

FFToday's Take: Andrews seems to be on the right side of Questionable but we likely won't know until inactives come out on Saturday. The fact that he got in two full practices this week is encouraging. If he does play, it's hard to see him taking on a full workload in his first game back which would mean splitting time with Isaiah Likely.
