|Julio Jones was well on his way to posting a terrific fantasy campaign in 2013 before a foot injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season. The only limiting factor for Jones in 2014 is his health, which has kept him limited in OTAs to this point. He has had plenty of recovery time since the surgery and is already running routes, so fantasy owners should feel fine drafting him among the elite receivers at his position. Matt Ryan threw to Jones 60 times in only five games last season. That number represented nearly half of Jones' season total in 2012. Jones will garner plenty of attention from opposing defenses, but that isn't likely to prevent Matt Ryan from finding him down the field. The stars are aligning for Jones to have a career season so long as he can stave off the injury bug.
Comment: Jones (foot) has been eased into training camp. He's capable of being fantasy football's No. 1 wide receiver.

|The Falcons are hoping that rest and treatment will help heal wide receiver Julio Jones’ hip injury.
The star receiver was not on the field during the open portion of practice and was not expected to practice on Friday. Jones has not practiced since he was hurt late in a Dec. 8 loss at the Packers and did not return. After trying to run Saturday, he didn’t play against the Steelers.
Jones has a big test run on Saturday before the team leaves for New Orleans.

FFToday's Take: Head coach Mike Smith stated in early in the week that Jones would likely be able to play but this is far from certain. He is shaping up to be a gametime decision. The Falcons face the Saints at 1:00 pm Eastern on Sunday.

By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 12, 12:45 pm
|Julio Jones will be a game-time decision this week when the Atlanta Falcons face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The wide receiver (hip) missed his third practice of the week Friday and is officially listed as questionable.
FFToday's Take: Jones has a juicy matchup against the Steelers leaky secondary but owners will need to check the inactive list on Sunday morning to see if he's good to go. The good news is that the Falcons and Steelers play at 1 pm ET.
| Julio won't need to practice in order to play|
Falcons WR sits Wednesday
By: Mike Krueger | Wed Dec 10, 2:10 pm
|The Falcons may not get wide receiver Julio Jones and safety William Moore on the practice field this week but coach Mike Smith said that wouldn’t necessarily preclude them from playing on Sunday against the Steelers. “Both of those guys are guys that don’t need to go out and practice,” Smith said Wednesday. “If they are ready to go at 1 o’clock on Sunday, both of those guys will be out there.” (Atlanta Journal Constitution)|
FFToday's Take: Julio (hip) sat Wednesday although the Falcons didn't have a full practice. It's likely he won't practice much if at all this week and will be a gametime decision. on Sunday.
