I truly hate that I’m even writing AB’s name after
the theatrics of the last 12 months, but that’s so 2020!
You haven’t stashed Brown on your roster, or spent serious
waiver bucks to not start him, so I say go for it! Bruce Arians
is not about easing guys in, or talking fluffy, so if he says
Brown looks ready, then he’s going to be unleashed. Tampa
struggled big time in the last second win over the Giants, so
they won’t hesitate to give Brown chances in this one. This
is a vitally important division game, and Brown is plenty motivated.
If by some miracle he can keep his head on straight, he’s
going to be a part of more than a few fantasy titles.
Diggs has been one of the most consistent fantasy producers at
the receiver position all year. With 80+ yards or a touchdown
in 7 of 8 games, he’s had a high floor with week winning
potential. Buffalo is going to need to keep pace with the Seattle
offense, so look for a heavy dose of throws to Diggs. Seattle’s
defensive woes are well documented, so I don’t have to sell
you on the positive matchup. Diggs has been an easy “set
and forget” receiver this season and a top-5 option at the
position in Week 9.
After only 7 games, Hockensen has already set a career high with
4 touchdowns, and stands poised to pass his reception and yardage
totals from 2019 this week against a Minnesota defense that’s functioned
as a middle of the road defense against opposing tight ends. Hock
has been a solid option at a dreadful fantasy position with a touchdown
in 3 of his last 4 games. Coming off a season high 10 targets against
Indy, Hockenson will be called on to pick up some of the slack left
by the injury to Kenny Golladay. With Kittle out and some mainstays
slumping, Hockenson finds himself as a weekly top-10 option.

If you own a receiver on a
team in the New York metropolitan area I would highly consider
taking a pass this week. The Washington Football team has yet
to allow a 100-yard receiver this year and have yielded the 2nd
fewest fantasy points to receivers overall. In their meeting two
weeks ago no Giant reached 50 yards. Washington is sure to get
after Daniel Jones, and with the G-men coming off a crushing loss
on Monday night I’m not expecting much. Even considering
a skill position player on the Jets is asking for utter doom.
Denzel Mims has shown potential, but he’s entering only
his 3rd NFL game, and Jamison Crowder, even if he plays, is coming
off yet another soft tissue injury. The Pats have fallen off in
all phases this season, but not enough to join the Jets in the
pit of despair.
WOAH WHAT!??!!? No you aren’t sitting fantasy’s #1 WR, but it's
not unreasonable to temper scoring expectations for Metcalf this
week. Buffalo hasn’t been great, but they’ve been able to keep the
lid on most passing attacks this season. I look for them to employ
a similar strategy to their game against the Chiefs in Week 6, where
they played two deep safeties and refused to let Mahomes beat them
deep. Yeah, KC ran all over them, but Seattle is banged up at running
back and doesn’t have the horses up front to try and win the game
just on the ground. This feels like a Tyler Lockett game as he takes
advantage of underneath routes and the enticing matchup with Buffalo’s
weak slot corners. Metcalf has proven to be a threat to score off
of any route, but he’s got a limited ceiling this week.
Going with the Miami 2 for 1 special, as Parker joins his rookie
QB as dubious starts in Week 9. Since a Week 4 blow-up, Parker has
managed only 6 receptions on 13 targets over the last three games,
and only a few short touchdowns have saved him from fantasy disaster.
The offense is certainly going to be in flux until Tua gets his
feet under him, so Parker sinks in the weekly ratings once again.
