With just two touchdowns and only few impact fantasy weeks,
Pittman has largely been a bust this season. But nothing soothes
offensive struggles better than the Viking defense. In the midst
of a streak of allowing 400+ total yards to opposing offenses,
Pittman should make enough plays to be worth a shot as an upside
WR3 this week.
If you’’ve survived this far without having Allen
nearly the entire season, it’s time to reap the rewards
of patience! Since returning to full speed in Week 13, Allen has
amassed 28 targets, and 18 receptions over the last two games.
Throw in 180 yards and a score, and suddenly Allen is poised for
a late season breakout. The Titans have been miserable as a pass
defense this season, so stack as many Charger receivers as you
can.
Olave has been the Saints most consistent offensive player, and
that’s saying a lot on a team with former All-Pro Alvin
Kamara. The rookie has produced at least 50 yards in all but two
games this season, and remains a rock-solid upside WR3 in a big
division matchup against the Falcons. Olave is 20th among receivers
with 98 targets, and is due to add to his three-touchdown total.

Steelers Receivers @ CAR
With the Steelers having to turn to Trubisky or even Mason Rudolph
this week, I want to be as far away as possible from the Pittsburg
passing game. The top three wide receivers on the team (including
the departed Chase Claypool) have combined for a sickly three
touchdowns. Dontae Johnson seems to be allergic to the endzone,
and George Pickens is too inconsistent to trust even on a good
day.
The match-up stinks, his buddy Kyler Murray is gone for the year,
and he’s struggled to make an impact since coming back from a
broken foot. Rondale Moore (groin) has been placed on IR but the
team seems perfectly fine with featuring A.J. Green who played
60% of the snaps last week. With a low depth of target likely
to be the game plan, nothing much lines up in favor of Brown this
week.
There was some chatter this week that Claypool’s lack of
impact since coming to Chicago at the trade deadline six weeks
ago has to do with familiarity with the playbook. That’s
a tough pill to swallow after seeing Baker Mayfield start a game
and play decently after being on the Rams for two days. While
the physical talent is undeniable, Claypool has simply not been
able to master the finer points of the position. He’s as
likely to catch a 70-yard touchdown as go 3-21. He hasn’t
put enough on tape with the Bears to be a trusted fantasy start.
