It’s been a rough year trying to find consistent options at tight
end outside the typical studs. At times, like in a mid-season stretch,
Kmet has flashed the athleticism and ball skills to be in the mix
in the coming years. And while it hasn’t totally come together as
some had expected, the matchup in Week 17 with Detroit is strong
enough to consider. In Week 10 Kmet against the Lions he had his
best game as a pro, putting up a 4-74-2 line. Maybe Kelce or Kittle
got you here, but if they didn’t, give Kmet a look.
Will there be a “fired head coach” effect on this Bronco team
on the road against a division rival? Probably, but the reason
I like Jeudy this week is simply the expected volume. He has been
the team’s best offensive player over the last month, and torched
this same defense for three touchdowns in Week 14. Look for plenty
of garbage points from an offense that’s likely to be playing
catch-up all afternoon.
With the Zach Wilson roller coaster shut down again, Garret Wilson
will likely welcome back Mike White with open arms. Wilson flashed
week winning upside when White was under center, as his ability
to get the ball to his receivers in space and on time is essential.
The Seahawks have been good on defense, but certainly aren’t a
shy-away matchup. Don’t be afraid to ride the rookie and his tremendous
upside.
If it fit the format of this spread I would have just put in
big red letters at the top “AVOID THE TITANS”. But
alas, for the reasons mentioned above, steer clear of Burks. In
his first game back from a concussion, he had two empty targets
and avoided a goose egg only because of a 15-yard rush. Burks
has flashed, but has been wildly inconsistent in the nine games
he has played this season. Not a great recipe for the biggest
fantasy game of the season.
Saints Receivers @ PHI
With Chris Olave
battling a hamstring and the remaining receivers an absolute crapshoot,
it’s impossible to trust any New Orleans receiver on the road
against the Eagles. Look for the Saints to funnel targets to the
backs and tight ends in an effort to keep the game close.
This entire offense has been a mess all season, but it’s
totally fallen apart during the Patriots’ four game skid.
Outside of a fluky tipped touchdown pass last week, Meyers has
largely been unusable since very early in the season, and Miami
has been better in pass defense than against the run. With no
identity, and little in the way of consistency or focus, Meyers
and the majority of this Patriot offense need to be avoided.
