Jones has been largely disappointing in his first season in Tennessee
with only one double-digit game (Week 2 in Seattle), but Week
10 could be a big day. The Saints’ pass defense ranks 30th against
opposing wideouts yielding 44.3 FPts/G. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore
figures to follow “target hog” A.J. Brown leaving Jones to go
up against Bradley Roby. Jones caught all four targets last week,
he just needs to see more work.
Agnew has double digits fantasy points in three of his last four
games. He also leads the receiving corps in targets over that
span with 31 to Marvin Jones’ 27 and Laviska Shenault’s 21. Agnew
has a great matchup this week against a Colts team allowing 41.8
fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts (28th).
Don’t be fooled by Beasley’s tiny 33-yard day in Week
9, he actually saw 11 targets and caught eight of them. Stefon
Diggs gets all the media attention, Emmanuel Sanders has had a
couple of great days, but Beasley has been getting consistently
high target volume all season. Four double-digit target games
and an average of 8.5 targets-per-game gives him a high ceiling
if things go right. Last year, when the Bills traveled to New
York, Beasley caught 11-of-12 balls for 112 yards. A replay is
certainly possible.
Davis is expected to return from a hip injury which led to him
being inactive for Week 9. In his absence, the rookie Elijah Moore
made a name for himself with seven receptions for 84 yards and
two scores against the Colts in front of a national audience Thursday
night. Crowder also saw plenty of work with Davis sidelined and
the workload may have to be split three ways this weekend. Given
how stingy the Bills defense is, I’d stay away from all of them.
The Bills have allowed just two wideout touchdown catches all
season.
A well-rested Bucs defense should be able to defend against a
one-receiver offense like Washington. Although the Tampa Bay pass
defense ranks 24th for the season in WR fantasy points allowed
(39.4 FPts/G), since Week 5 they rank No. 1 allowing just 19.4
FPts/G. After a quick start from quarterback Taylor Heinicke (eight
TD passes in the first four games), he’s struggled with
just three touchdown passes and six INTs in the last four.
Hopkins missed Week 9 with a hamstring injury and even if he
returns for Week 10 he isn’t a great play. A.J. Green should
return from the Covid-19 list and join Christian Kirk, Rondale
Moore and Hopkins for the game against the Panthers. The Panthers
are a tough defense, ranking sixth against opposing wideouts (31.7
FPts/G). But more importantly, Hopkins’ usage has dropped
this season even as the team has gotten better. He’s averaging
6.1 targets and 4.4 receptions in 2021 compared to 10 targets
and 7.2 receptions last season. With this injury, he might end
up being more decoy than target.
