Despite ranking just 43rd since Week 11 with an 11.2 FPts/G average,
Moore should be a prime target for Week 16. The Lions’ rank
30th in wide receiver fantasy points allowed for the season (40.8
FPts/G), but have been even worse over their last five games (48.2).
For the season Moore has struggled with the lack of production
under center, but he’s still the team’s top wideout
(51-678-5).
This is purely a volume play, so if either Brandin Cooks (calf)
or Nico Collins (foot) return from injury, all bets are off. With
the two top starters sidelined, Moore has seen 11 and nine targets
the past two games and produced 14 receptions for 166 yards. The
Titans have allowed a league-high 41.8 FPts/G. If either starter
returns (Cooks is most likely) they would be a viable option.
Slayton is the best of the Giants receivers available to Daniel
Jones and saw seven targets Monday night (though he didn’t
do much with them). He has produced double-digit points in six
of his last 10 starts. Meanwhile, the Vikings’ pass defense
has been vulnerable on the outside allowing 41 FPts/G to wideouts.
The Jets’ rank No.2 in fewest WR fantasy points allowed (27.4
FPts/G) behind star rookie CB Ahmed “Sauce” Gardner. He figures
to clamp down on Kirk (73-966-7) and the improving Trevor Lawrence
has shown he won’t force things anymore. He’s looked at Zay Jones
(106 targets) almost as often as Kirk (116) this season and more
often since Week 11 (41-34).
The Commanders have allowed just one touchdown pass to wideouts
over the past four games and rank No.4 in fantasy points allowed
since Week 11 (26.2 FPts/G). Meanwhile, with Brock Purdy under
center, Aiyuk has managed just 16 targets, nine catches and 122
yards combined in three games. Instead, Purdy has favored tight
end George Kittle and can’t be trusted to get Aiyuk involved
enough to produce double-digits.
3) All Baltimore wideouts vs. Atlanta
The Ravens have pretty much run out of top wide receivers this
season. Marquise Brown was traded in the off-season. Rashod Bateman
is out for the year. Now Devin Duvernay is on the IR. That leaves
Demarcus Robinson, just-claimed Sammy Watkins and aging DeSean Jackson. Meanwhile, since Week 11, the Falcons’ pass defense
has allowed the fewest fantasy points to opposing wideouts by
a large margin (18.7 FPts/G) and haven’t allowed a 100-yard
receiver since Week 9 (Josh Palmer).
