Raheem Mostert

1) Raheem Mostert @ Detroit

Starting the season behind Chase Edmonds, Mostert has grabbed control of the Dolphins’ backfield workload, seeing double-digit carries the last four games (15.8 rushing attempts per game). Meanwhile, the Lions are the 31st-ranked RB defense having allowed 10 double-digit fantasy games in just six weeks. They also “lead” the league with 10 rushing touchdowns allowed.

2) Latavius Murray @ Jacksonville (London)

The Jaguars rank 26th against opposing running backs, but the question is which of Murray or Melvin Gordon can take advantage of the situation. I’m going Murray here because he’s going to be the goal line back (Gordon has fumbled twice inside the 1-yard line this season and has a season pass to Nathaniel Hackett’s doghouse).

3) Tony Pollard vs. Chicago

The Bears are allowing 25 fantasy points per game to RBs and the Cowboys likely will only use one in Week 8 – Pollard. According to reports, Ezekiel Elliott has suffered a sprained MCL and will miss this game. In the Cowboys “new” conservative game plan, that should equal 25 touches for Pollard.

Grab some Pine

1) David Montgomery @ Dallas

The Cowboys rank No. 1 against opposing running backs yielding just 17.5 fantasy points per game. Khalil Herbert ran well last week and will see a significant portion of the workload. Finally, the game is like to see a big Dallas lead and Fields having to throw a lot.

2) Jeff Wilson @ LA Rams

Don’t be fooled by the even distribution in Week 7 between Wilson and Christian McCaffrey. Moving forward, Wilson is just a handcuff, who will see a minimum of work, just enough to keep CMC fresh for the playoff run.

3) AJ Dillon @ Buffalo

The Bills’ defense ranks No.4 against running backs and they are particularly tough against rushing yards having yielded a league-low 317 yards on the ground. While Aaron Jones can make up for this by catching passes out of the backfield (26-176-3), Dillon is less talented in this area (13-80-0).
