2020 Outlook
Depth Chart
After returning from an 8-game suspension, Hunt hit the ground running, piling up 11 touches for 74 yards in his Cleveland debut. That game would be a harbinger for things to come, as Hunt instantly became the main receiving option out of the backfield. His 37 receptions over the final 8 games put him on a 74 reception pace over a full season, so is that our starting point for his 2020 receiving outlook? That total might be a bit high, but I think a 60 reception floor is realistic, as is a greater increase in rushing attempts (he only had 43 last year). Chubb and Hunt complement each other perfectly, as both guys are capable of playing on all downs, and it keeps the opposing defenses guessing. The Browns have spoken frequently about using Hunt more in base packages this season, and Stefanski has proven the ability to use running backs in multiple roles. Also keep in mind Hunt is playing for a big free agent deal, so there is that added motivation.

Hunt is no normal "back-up" running back. He was an elite fantasy performer during his time in Kansas City and is going to get enough touches to be a high end FLEX/RB3 option and can be a league winner if anything happens to Chubb. His ADP is too rich to be a simple handcuff, and I suspect it will keep climbing as we approach the season. The talent and motivation is there, so it's just a question of opportunity. Hunt is going to be a player I'm going to go after aggressively. He's going to get enough chances to at least be usable in my lineup, and if he ever steps into the starting role, he's instantly a high end RB1 in all formats.

Injury Nick Chubb looking good for Week 10
Ditches knee brace Thursday
By: Doug Orth | Thu Nov 12, 11:55 pm

Cleveland Browns
Nick Chubb practicing without his knee brace today. Looks to me like he’s ready to play. (Mary Kay Cabot on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It looks likely Chubb will see his first action since Week 4 on Sunday against a woeful Houston Texans run defense. There is a chance he gets eased in after such a long layoff, but even 15 carries against the Texans should be more than enough for him to return RB1 value. If he plays this weekend, he and Kareem Hunt both need to be in lineups.

Injury Nick Chubb on schedule in his rehab
Could return from MCL injury after Week 9 bye
By: Doug Orth | Mon Oct 26, 5:15 pm

Cleveland Browns
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said they won't have RB Nick Chubb back this week and then they'll see after the bye. Stefanski added Chubb is on schedule in return from injured MCL in his right knee. (Nate Ulrich on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Kareem Hunt figures to get at least one more game (Week 8 versus the Raiders) as the featured back. Chubb and Hunt will see a mixed bag of run defenses after the bye, include highly favorable matchups the Texans, Jaguars and Jets as well as difficult ones versus the Ravens and Eagles. Owners in a position to look ahead to the fantasy playoffs should try to grab him at a slight discount, as Chubb is about as good as it gets as a pure runner.

Injury Nick Chubb will miss multiple weeks with knee injury
Doesn't need surgery
By: Mike Krueger | Mon Oct 5, 12:34 pm

Cleveland Browns
Kevin Stefanski: Nick Chubb will miss several weeks with an MCL injury, but he doesn't need surgery on the knee, and the #Browns expect the Pro Bowl running back to return this season (Nick Ulrich on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Chubb left early in Week 4 with an MCL injury and placed on short-term IR meaning he will miss at least 3 games. There are reports he could miss up to six weeks. Kareem Hunt will vault into low-end RB1 territory for the time being and D'Ernest Johnson (13-95) will be a waiver wire target in Week 5.
