McLaurin was the one bright spot on an otherwise dreadful 2019 Washington Redskins team. The former Buckeye caught 58 balls for 919 yards and seven touchdowns in just 14 games, including an impressive 5/125/1 debut against the Eagles.
He enters the 2020 season as the No.1 receiving option for the Redskins and a favorite low-end No.2 WR for fantasy owners. His 32% target share among Washington wideouts is exactly what you want in a fantasy player, and his 12 red zone targets also led the team.
Surprisingly, he fared better when Case Keenum was under center and not his former teammate from Ohio State. McLaurin's worst games came in a stretch from Week 8 to Week 14 when Haskins was the starting QB. The decline is more of an indictment on Haskins' poor play than McLaurin's, but it is something to consider when you draft this summer.

Antonio Gibson expected to play Toe injury By: Mike Krueger | Sun Dec 27, 7:00 am

| | Washington RB Antonio Gibson, listed as questionable for Sunday with an ankle injury, is expected to play vs. the Panthers, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Even playing at less than 100 percent, Gibson could be in for a big workload considering Washington will be without it's top receiving in Terry McLaurin. They're still mum on which QB (Alex Smith or Dwayne Haskins) will get the start. Carolina is a plus matchup for running backs, giving up the 7th most fantasy points to the position.

| Terry McLaurin Doubtful, Alex Smith Questionable Smith was a full participant on Friday By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 25, 1:01 pm

| | Alex Smith a full participant today. Good step for him. Heard last night optimism remained. How much? Don’t know. Listed as questionable so we’ll see where it goes. Having Terry McLaurin a doubtful is obviously a bad sign. Has been dealing with the ankle issue for a while. (John Keim on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: It was encouraging to see Smith get in a full practice today. Washington will likely make a decision on their starting QB tomorrow. With McLaurin out, Washington will be lacking playmakers at the receiver position. Expect TE Logan Thomas and RB J.D. McKissic to see the bulk of targets.

| Dwayne Haskins taking starter reps at practice Trending towards being the starting QB in Week 16 By: Mike Krueger | Thu Dec 24, 1:25 pm

| | Sense out of Washington this week has been that it would be challenging for QB Alex Smith to return from his calf injury this week. And now today, Dwayne Haskins is taking the starter reps at practice, and is tracking to start Sunday vs. Panthers. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Alex Smith was seen throwing to receivers today but it appears Haskins will be the likely starting QB on Sunday against the Panthers. Terry McLaurin (ankle) has missed the last two days of practice which bears watching heading into the weekend.

| Dwayne Haskins will start for Washington Alex Smith out with calf injury By: Mike Krueger | Fri Dec 18, 1:45 pm

| | WFT is ruling out QB Alex Smith for Sunday's game against Seattle due to his calf injury, per source. Dwayne Haskins will start against the Seahawks. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
FFToday's Take: Haskins may be a bit of a downgrade for tight end Logan Thomas who has seen his production rise with Smith at quarterback. Terry McLaurin remains in a decent spot in either catch-up mode or neutral game script against the Seahawks.
