2020 Outlook
Depth Chart
Slayton was a monster free agent play last season who delivered three games of at least 50 receiving yards and two touchdowns, including a career-best 5/154/2 line against the Eagles with Sterling Sheppard and Evan Engram nursing injuries.

It was an impressive debut for the fifth-round rookie from Auburn, who made the most of his opportunity. Both Sheppard and Engram enter the 2020 season healthy and should limit the volume Slayton will receive in the offense. Veterans Golden Tate and Shepard will be the two primary wide receivers, while Engram, a hybrid tight end who plays more like a large WR, will be the favorite target of Daniel Jones over the middle.

Owners who remember Slayton's breakout games and not the fact that he is buried on the depth chart may overpay for him in drafts this summer. Don't bet that guy (or gal).

Injury Sterling Shepard hits IR with turf toe
Giants WR will miss at least the next three weeks
By: Antonio D'Arcangelis | Wed Sep 23, 11:11 am

New York Giants
Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) on Twitter: "Now this: Giants placed WR Sterling Shepard on IR." (Twitter/ESPN)

FFToday's Take: The hits just keep on coming for the G-Men. Shepard has turf toe - a multi-week injury, so he's out the next three games but could return when first eligible in Week 6. Darius Slayton, Golden Tate, and Evan Engram will see higher target shares with Shepard out, and dynamic Damion Ratley will step into three-wide sets.

Injury Sterling Shepard expected to miss some time
Likely dealing with turf toe
By: Doug Orth | Mon Sep 21, 6:40 pm

New York Giants
Giants WR Sterling Shepard, knocked out yesterday with a toe injury, is believed to be dealing with turf toe, source said. He’ll have an MRI today, but that’s an ailment that generally causes a WR to miss some time. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)

FFToday's Take: Dealing with injury has unfortunately been the tale of Shepard's pro career to this point. The fifth-year pro wasn't making a huge dent in fantasy so far, but some of that could have been due to the quality of defenses the Giants have faced so far. Darius Slayton and Golden Tate are good bets to flirt with WR3 production in his absence, although starting either player will come with limited upside against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 3.

Injury Golden Tate expected to play
Missed Week 1 with hamstring injury
By: Mike Krueger | Sun Sep 20, 8:15 am

New York Giants
#Giants WR Golden Tate, listed as questionable after missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury, is expected to play today, source said. He should be at full strength. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: The Giants receiving corps will be at full strength today against the Bears with Darius Slayton and Sterling Shepard playing along side Tate. Slayton led the group last week with 6-102-2 line against the Steelers.
