The 2023 Giants' offense lacked significant firepower in the passing game, which led to their prioritization of adding a big-time pass catcher in the draft. They landed an impressive prospect in Malik Nabers, who, if not for the generational talent Marvin Harrison Jr., would've almost certainly been the top prospect at the position in this and almost any other class.
Nabers is a well-rounded wide receiver who brings tremendous speed and overall athleticism to a New York offense that sorely lacks such players. Barring injury, Nabers should immediately step in as the top target earner in what is admittedly a struggling offense. Nevertheless, even with presumed poor quarterback play, a high target share could allow Nabers to be a strong weekly fantasy asset from the outset.
Nabers won't come cheap on draft day, but he's being selected as a low-end WR2 or high-end WR3 in most leagues, which is fairly close to his floor. If he and Daniel Jones can create a connection that allows him to get into the end zone with any frequency, there's no reason to believe he can't meet or even exceed the lofty expectations many have for him this season.

Malik Nabers Out for Week 6 Still in concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 11, 11:35 am
| | WR Malik Nabers (concussion) is OUT again this Sunday vs. Bengals, per Brian Daboll. (Jordan Raanan on X)
FFToday's Take: Nabers is having a difficult time getting cleared from the concussion he suffered in Week 4. This will be two games he's missed as a result. In his absence last week, we saw Darius Slayton play 90.3% of the snaps and command at 35.5% target share. He'll be in the WR3 conversation this week against the Bengals.
| Malik Nabers ruled Out for Week 5 Has yet to clear concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Fri Oct 4, 11:33 am
| | Giants HC Brian Daboll announced that Malik Nabers remains in concussion protocol and is out Sunday vs. the Seahawks. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Since Nabers was concussed Thursday of last week, there was some optimism that would be ready to go for Week 5. Not the case. The Giants passing game will feature Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and perhaps Jalin Hyatt who has 3 targets and has yet to catch a pass this season. Robinson is a viable PPR option while Slayton is a risky Flex.
| Malik Nabers misses practice Thursday, concussion Still in concussion protocol By: Mike Krueger | Thu Oct 3, 12:45 pm
| | Daboll said WR Malik Nabers is making progress in the concussion protocol but he won’t be out on the field during practice. Daboll said they’ll wait as long as possible before making a determination for Sunday, but time is obviously running low to clear the remaining steps. I don’t see Nabers getting cleared for Sunday. (Dan Duggan on X)
FFToday's Take: It's looking more and more like Nabers is going to miss Week 5 against Seattle. Nabers suffered a concussion last Thursday in Week 4. If he misses, Darius Slayton will likely see the biggest benefit in the passing game although he'll be nothing more than a desperation Flex option.
| Malik Nabers suffers ankle injury in practice Rookie wideout expected to be focal point of offense By: Mike Krueger | Sun Aug 11, 1:20 pm
| | New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers left Sunday's practice because of an injury to his left ankle and did not return.
Nabers is believed to have suffered a minor ankle sprain, and the Giants were not overly concerned about the injury as of Sunday afternoon, sources told ESPN's Jordan Raanan. (ESPN)
FFToday's Take: It's been clear since early in camp that Nabers is going to be the focal point of the Giants offense. His ADP has slowly been rising throughout the summer. This injury doesn't sound serious at the moment, but we should get more updates on his status in the coming days.
