49ers’ HC Kyle Shanahan told reporters that WR Deebo Samuel is dealing with a hairline fracture in his shoulder and will be out the next two games leading up to the team’s bye week. RB Christian McCaffrey is questionable for Week 7. (Adam Schefter on X)

FFToday's Take: The 49ers have a bye in Week 9 so the earliest we could see Deebo back on the field is Week 10 against the Jaguars. In the meantime, expect Brandon Aiyuk to be the top wideout in San Francisco with increased opportunities for Jauan Jennings. McCaffrey appears to be trending towards playing Monday night against the Vikings but remains a gametime decision.

49ers’ WR Deebo Samuel, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a rib and knee injury, is expected to play vs. the Cardinals barring any pre-game setbacks, per source. 49ers’ WR Jauan Jennings (shin) and RB Elijah Mitchell are not expected to play Sunday vs. Cardinals. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: Deebo got in a limited practice session on Friday after missing practice Wednesday and Thursday. You might ding his upside but otherwise feel comfortable with him in your starting lineup. Expect to see more of Jordan Mason as the backup running back behind Christian McCaffrey.

49ers WR watch: Will play: Brandon Aiyuk Maybe will play: Deebo Samuel Probably won't play: Jauan Jennings Samuel's ribs aren't the issue. It's the knee injury, which cropped up after the Giants game, that's been problematic. He missed WED & THURS practices, was limited today. (Matt Barrows on Twitter)

FFToday's Take: It seems the 49ers will get Aiyuk back in the mix after missing Week 3 with a shoulder injury. We'll have to wait for confirmation later this weekend on Deebo and running back Elijah Mitchell who injured his knee in practice on Thursday. If he sits, Jordan Mason would elevate into the No.2 role behind Christian McCaffrey.
