Dolphins QB Tyler Huntley will start Monday night versus the Tennessee Titans. (Adam Schefter on X) FFToday's Take: Quarterback number three for the Dolphins this season will be Huntley as Skylar Thompson injured his ribs in Week 3 against Seattle. While Huntley is new to the Dolphins system his does have some rushing ability which makes him more appealing than the other QBs on the roster. Still, a mid-range QB2 performance would be the likeliest outcome. Tim Boyle will work as the backup. Miami hosts Tennessee on Monday night.

Sources to me and @RapSheet: The #Dolphins are placing QB Tua Tagovailoa on injured reserve in order to give him ample time to progress through the stages of concussion protocol and meet with outside neurologists. The earliest Tagovailoa could return is Week 8 against the Cardinals, but the Dolphins are committed to placing no timeline on him as he works through a deliberate process and eventual return to play. (NFL Network - Mike Garafolo) FFToday's Take: While six-plus weeks would usually be more than enough time to recover from a concussion, Tagovailoa's history of brain injuries may keep him out longer. Either way, it's the prudent move to put him on IR and give him ample time to meet with as many outside neurologists as necessary to make the best decision for himself and his playing future. Skylar Thompson is expected to take over as the starter under center in the interim, although his presence is a downgrade for the entire offense.
