With Sam Darnold showing out, Addison remained a more than relevant fantasy asset last season. He followed up a solid rookie campaign with nearly identical numbers, and repeated as a top-20 option at the receiver position. Because of the presence of Jefferson, and what I think will be a more conservative passing game (The Vikings were already the middle of the pack in pass attempts), Addison will disappear for stretches, as he's done over his first two years. But his blow-up games are week winners, and he's a fantastic upside WR3 that has now exceeded expectations two years straight. Despite 19 touchdowns in his first two seasons, I'm still leery about trusting him to repeat those numbers for a 3rd straight season, especially since T.J. Hockenson will be healthy to start the season.

Vikings interested in trading for WR Adam Thielen Addison suspension, plus Nailor hand injury spurring action By: Mike Krueger | Fri Aug 22, 10:07 am

| | Vikings have inquired about trading for Panthers WR Adam Thielen, per league sources.
With WR Jordan Addison serving a three-game suspension and Jalen Nailor dealing with a hand injury, Thielen could wind up starting opening night for the Vikings if they can complete the trade. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: The Panthers could easily slide Jalen Coker into three wide receiver sets or elevate Hunter Renfrow if they make this deal happen. The Vikings currently have a depth problem at the position with Nailor nursing a hand injury, Addison's suspension and Justin Jefferson missing a good deal of camp with a hamstring injury. The move makes sense for the Vikings; let's see if they can pull it off.

| Jordan Addison handed three-game ban Suspended for violating substance abuse policy By: Doug Orth | Tue Aug 5, 10:20 pm

| | Discipline: NFL suspended Vikings WR Jordan Addison for the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the league’s Substances of Abuse Policy.
Addison now will miss games at Chicago, vs. the Falcons and vs. the Bengals. (ESPN - Adam Schefter)
FFToday's Take: The three-game suspension is about what most fantasy managers expected. The good news is that it might turn him into a slight value in fantasy drafts and the suspension ends before bye weeks become an issue. The bad news is that managers probably will not get enough of a discount on him to make him a flex or WR4 option in most drafts. During his suspension, Jalen Nailor stands a great chance of being flex-worthy.
