| Wilson entered the 2024 as a bottom of the roster player after being waived by the Broncos in 2023. Solid special teams play and a need for positional depth kept him on the roster in 2024, but he ended up filling an important role after early season injuries to MarShawn Lloyd and AJ Dillon. Wilson was an effective breather back, as he tallied 500 yards and four scores on the ground, but ultimately, he is a 26-year-old undrafted back playing behind a workhorse, and competing with a much more talented former 3rd round pick. Leave him on the waiver wire and check in if injuries hit.

Josh Jacobs may need to play in pain for rest of season RB continues "battling through" knee injury By: Doug Orth | Wed Dec 17, 11:30 pm

| | The nature of Josh Jacobs’ physical running style means the Packers tailback might have to continue battling through a knee injury for the rest of this season. The Packers got a reminder of that early in their game against the Broncos. Jacobs took a shot to his knee on a short-yardage run in the first quarter. LaFleur did not say on what run the contact occurred, but Jacobs took a shot to his knees against Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga on a third-and-1 pitch to the left side. Hufanga dropped Jacobs for a 2-yard loss after blowing up a block on the perimeter.
Jacobs bent over at his waist after getting up to his feet, appearing to be in pain.
“He’s battling through,” LaFleur said. “This guy is as tough as they come. So I’ll never count him out of the fight, I’ll tell you that. But if we were practicing today, absolutely he would not practice. (PackersNews.com)
FFToday's Take: The Packers held a walk-through on Tuesday and, as a result, submitted an estimation of a practice report. The fact that Jacobs would not have practiced even if the Packers held a practice is noteworthy, although it is not quite a cause for concern quite yet - especially for those managers who have Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson on their rosters. Assuming Jacobs is good to go for Saturday's game as expected, consider him a solid RB1 who is slighly more risky than usual given his knee issue.

| Josh Jacobs expected to play against Denver Knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Sat Dec 13, 11:01 pm

| | Packers RB Josh Jacobs, listed as questionable due to a knee injury, is expected to play vs. the Broncos, per source. Jacobs didn’t practice Wednesday and Thursday, and Green Bay also is mindful that it has another game in six days in Chicago, but Jacobs is expected to play. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Emanuel Wilson was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness and will be a gametime decision based on how he feels. Jacobs is at a greater risk for aggravation of his knee issue but he's still a worthwhile start when active, even against the Broncos-D.

| Josh Jacobs Out for Week 12 Knee injury By: Mike Krueger | Sun Nov 23, 12:00 am

| | Josh Jacobs pushed all week to play despite his bone bruise and thigh contusion. But the Packers decided to play it cautiously with a short week upcoming. There was no pregame workout, just a conversation when Jacobs arrived. There is hope he could play Thanksgiving at Detroit. (Tom Pelissero on X)
FFToday's Take: Jacbos is battling a bruised knee and ultimately will sit out this week as the Packers play on Thursday in Week 13. Emanuel Wilson will a strong running back play this week and should get the bulk of the carries against the Vikings.

| Josh Jacobs listed as Questionable, Knee injury Limited in practice all week By: Mike Krueger | Fri Nov 21, 3:47 pm

| | Packers are listing RB Josh Jacobs as questionable for Sunday’s game vs the Vikings. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Jacobs was limited in practice all week after banging his knee against the Giants in Week 11. It sounds like this will be a game time decision and with the Packers playing on Thursday next week against the Lions, it wouldn't be surprising to see Jacobs held out against the Vikings. Emanuel Wilson's fantasy value hangs in the balance until we get official word.

| Josh Jacobs may miss some time Suffered minor knee injury in Week 11 By: Doug Orth | Mon Nov 17, 4:00 pm

| | Packers standout RB Josh Jacobs’ knee is structurally sound and no surgery is needed.
He’s considered day-to-day, but could miss the game against the #Vikings. (NFL Network - Ian Rapoport)
FFToday's Take: While the overall prognosis appears good, Jacobs did not return to the team's Week 11 game after suffering the injury. The thing that makes this worse for his fantasy managers is that Green Bay also plays on Thanksgiving in Week 13, meaning he is a likely candidate to miss two games if he sits out Week 12. Emanuel Wilson performed about as expected in his absence (11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown, one catch for nine yards) and would be a decent RB2 play in Week 12 against the Vikings if Jacobs cannot go. Chris Brooks would also be in play, albeit as a desperation flex option in deeper leagues.

| Josh Jacobs a gametime decision for Week 7 Illness and calf injury By: Mike Krueger | Sat Oct 18, 9:17 pm

| | Packers RB Josh Jacobs, listed as questionable for Sunday due to illness and a calf injury, is now being considered a “true game-time decision” for Sunday’s matchup vs. the Cardinals, per source. The team says it does not expect to know whether he can play until Sunday. If Jacobs is unable to play, Packers RB Emanuel Wilson would be the expected starter. (Adam Schefter on X)
FFToday's Take: Jacobs dealt with his illness during last week's game then added a calf issue to his ailments. The team did call up RB Pierre Strong Jr. from the practice squad but it sounds like Jacobs is pushing to play. If he sits, Wilson would be in the RB2 conversation in a matchup against the Cardinals.
