Bye Weeks: Green Bay, Oakland, Pittsburgh, Seattle
Wk7 Breakout? Julian Edelman hasn't topped
60 yards in his first two games back from suspension.

Jarvis
Landry @ TB: Juice has been the only Cleveland receiver
to survive unscathed entering Week 7. Because of injuries and departures
the depth chart looks vastly different that is did a few weeks ago,
and not having a threat to take some of the heat off has led to
some down weeks for Landry. On a positive note he is still seeing
a massive target share even if his efficiency has dropped off a
little. Fortunately his fantasy arrow is pointing way up, as Cleveland
gets the hapless Tampa Bay defense. Landry is going to be peppered
with targets, and should be able to turn them into tangible WR2
production. “Bless em’”
Tyler
Boyd @ KC: Has there been a bigger wideout surprise
than Tyler Boyd? Sitting pretty as the No.12 overall receiver
in standard leagues, Boyd has been pretty consistent, putting
up double digit points in four of the team’s first six weeks.
He’s been the perfect complement to A.J. Green, as he’s made teams
pay for single covering him. This game figures to be yet another
shootout, with both teams sporting explosive offenses. The best
thing about Boyd is that he was probably plucked off the waiver
wire early in the year, so it’s been all gravy this season. Keep
trotting him out as an upside WR2.
Julian
Edelman @ CHI: The Bears have been quietly torched
by quick twitch receivers this season, giving up 100+ yard games
to Randall Cobb, Desean Jackson, and most recently Albert Wilson.
Edelman, while not the deep threat Jackson and Wilson are, should
still be the focal point of the short passing game employed by
Patriots this week. It’s been a slow return from injury and suspension
for Edelman, but with a few weeks of practice under his belt,
he should be high floor WR2 in PPR leagues and an upside WR3 in
standard leagues.

Mike
Williams vs TEN: Just when it looked like Mike Williams
was flashing weekly WR3 numbers, he goes in the tank the last
three weeks totaling a 5-64-0 line. Despite some exploitable matchups
the past few weeks, he’s been overshadowed by Tyrell Williams
and the pass catching backs that the Chargers rely on. It’s been
evident for a few weeks now that Williams is going to have to
score to be fantasy relevant as the targets and yards simply won’t
be there on a consistent basis. The Titans defense has played
well despite their dreadful offense keeping them on the field
constantly. Williams was startable a few weeks ago, but the usefulness
has dried up.
Washington Receivers vs DAL:
It seems there is a team each week that has been utterly decimated
by injuries to the receiver position. The Colts, Browns, and Packers
have all had to harvest players off the bottom of the depth chart
this year, and last week it was the Redskins who had two tight
ends “lead” the team in receiving. Jamison
Crowder looks to be out again this week, and Paul
Richardson and Josh
Doctson played last week despite missing significant practice
time. The entire Washington offense is being bandaged together
with long in the tooth players and cast off bottom of the roster
players. The flotsam that is Michael Floyd even got some run this
past week! It’s a true credit to Alex Smith that this offense
can even function, and right now I simply can’t find any reason
to start a single receiver on this team in any type of fantasy
league.
Greg
Olsen @ PHI: Not only is Olsen trying to battle a recurring
foot injury that could flare up at any time, but he’s also
faces a Philly defense that has given up the fewest (19) receptions
to tight ends in the league. Olsen saw a healthy 7 targets in
his return from injury, but a 33 year-old with a bad wheel against
a great position defending defense is a bad recipe. The worst
part of this situation is that because the tight end position
is so top loaded and shallow, if you have Olsen you almost have
to start him.
