It’s been a bit of a slow start for the Bolts offense, as they’ve
failed to surpass 20 points this season, but Ekeler rebounded from
a down Week 1 to catch 9 passes, and tally 115 total yards last
week in a loss to Dallas. LA played the Chiefs close in Week 2 last
year, and Ekeler should be a big part of the game plan this week.
The Chiefs defense was run ragged Sunday night chasing the Ravens
all over the field, so take advantage.
It’s been a pretty even split between Williams and Gordon to start
the season, but eventually the divergence will begin. Gordon had
70-yard run against a gassed Giants defense in Week 1, but Williams
has been more consistent on a touch-by-touch basis, including his
14 touch 74 total yard day last week. The Jets aren’t playing poorly
on defense, but can be pushed around inside, and lack elite linebacker
speed on the edge. I think Williams gets more involved as a pass
catcher, and scores his first NFL touchdown this week.
The defensive turnaround in Dallas is no joke, as they are playing
fast and loose in the new Dan Quinn scheme. Micah Parsons gives
the defense an athletic element at linebacker they have lacked,
but he’s had some trouble in coverage, as Dallas has given
up the 3rd most receptions to running backs (18). Look for the Eagles
to create mismatches for Sanders, and the loss of some defensive
starters will hurt the Cowboys ability to defend the edge.

San Francisco RBs vs GB
Deep down in a forest-bound hovel cackles a scorned witch with a
collection of 49ers voodoo dolls. Each week she dresses them in
the jerseys of the starting running backs for the Niners and pokes
them with iron needles, ending their games and seasons. It would
be funny if it wasn’t true, and in 2021, anything is possible.
Whoever is alive by gametime isn’t likely to remain that way
for long, so save yourself and run far away from this backfield;
it's a muddled mess of misfortune and horror.
Miami RBs @ LV
Three-headed backfields are an indication of two things. So much
talent that all the guys need to play, or a lack of talent so all
the guys need to play. I’m going with the later when it comes
to the Dolphins. This offense has generated next to nothing in the
stat department in two games, and Myles Gaskin / Malcolm Brown /
Salvon Ahmed sounds much better as a South Beach law firm (Gaskin/Brown/Ahmed)
than starting options on your fantasy team.
After 17 career games it’s painfully obvious that CEH simply
isn’t going to be a fantasy difference maker. Sure he’s
quick, and can make guys miss occasionally, but very often the first
guy to grab him brings him down. The line still can’t open
holes for him, and with how prolific the passing game is, his current
3.3 yards/carry average is dreadful. Throw in only 3 total targets,
and little red zone work, and Edwards-Helaire is at the very best
a low-floor FLEX play until the offense truly cares about running
the ball.
