I feel like every year the tight end position becomes more of
a barren wasteland of inconsistency, and dart throwing, so of
course I would have Ertz in this spot. The one time fantasy stud
had completely fallen out of favor in Philly, and now finds himself
in a prime rebound spot on an ascending Arizona offense. The loss
of Maxx Williams for the year means Ertz should step into 5-7
targets a game, and that instantly vaults him into top-12 consideration.
As the injury carnage continues to ravage the Giants, Shepard
should continue to be peppered with targets against the Panthers.
Last week against the Rams, Shepard saw a career high 14 targets
and 10 receptions. With most of his chances coming near the line
of scrimmage a big yardage day is unlikely, but until this offense
gets healthy, Shepard is a must start in PPR leagues.
With Michael Thomas still a few weeks away, Callaway should continue
to operate as the No.1 receiver against a Seattle secondary that
has been torched for the 5th most receiver receptions in the NFL.
The 2nd year player out of Tennessee had a career day before the
bye with a 4-82-2 line against Washington. This game is likely
to be of the low scoring variety, but I like Callaway as an upside
WR3 start.

Cleveland Receivers vs DEN (THU)
With significant injuries to as many as half a dozen offensive
starters, it’s impossible to predict who will be healthy
enough to suit up Thursday night. Odell Beckham Jr. has a bum
shoulder, Jarvis Landry just began practicing this week, and the
quarterback doing the slinging is an uninspiring Case Keenum.
I know byes are brutal this week, but so is relying on any Cleveland
skill player.
To say Davis has been the entire passing offense for the Jets
is an understatement. His 36 targets and 20 receptions are more
than the next two receivers combined. New England knew this weeks
ago and totally took him out of the game in Week 2, allowing Davis
only a meager 2 catches for 8 yards. Look for more of the same
as the Pats force Zach Wilson off his first read, and pressure
him up the middle. Coming off the bye, I also think the Jets look
to involve rookie Elijah Moore in the gameplan.
Big things were expected from the second year receiver, but it
seems that rookie Ja’Marr Chase stole them. After back to
back scores in Week 1 and 2, Higgins has been near invisible since
returning from a shoulder injury. His 8 receptions for 76 yards
the last two weeks during which Joe Burrow threw the ball 67 times
has been a serious letdown. Chase has established himself as the
alpha in this pass offense, and Higgins an afterthought. The matchup
with a white hot Ravens team isn’t great either.
