Congrats to Jones for breaking out of a four-game scoring slump
with one of his best games of the season. His 22-106-1 line was
a season high, and continues to be a high floor RB2 option with
reliable volume and passing game work. The Cardinal rush defense
isn’t a shy away matchup, especially in the pass game, where
Jones should be able to exploit a defense giving up the 10th most
receptions to opposing backs.
The best way to protect a struggling young quarterback is to
run the ball, and I expect the Colts to do plenty of that Sunday
in New England. With the potential of nasty weather conditions,
I expect Indy to lean on Taylor against a crummy Patriot defense
that’s gotten continually gashed by runners this season.
The Giants continue to circle the drain and Tracy was benched
because of another fumble, but this team can’t afford to
be embarrassed on national television against a division rival.
With their 3rd QB starter in the last three games, look for the
Giants to attack the Cowboys defensive weakness and run the ball
often. Tracy can and should rebound nicely.

Raiders RBs @ KC (FRI)
The Raiders have played RB carousel all season with little success.
Vegas holds the dubious distinction of being the worst rushing
offense in the NFL, bringing up the rear with only 821 yards (Barkley
and Henry’s best two games equal that!). The backfield is
manned by bottom of the roster talent, and the line can’t
block. Oh yeah, the Chiefs are also a top tier unit against the
run. Yikes.
Swift has cooled mightily since a sizzling four game stretch
a few weeks ago. The Bears couldn’t get anything going against
the Pack last week, and on comes a Detroit run defense that is
a top-5 unit. He just doesn’t get enough consistent target
volume in the passing game, giving him a dicey floor on Turkey
Day.
Commanders RBs vs TEN
Brian Robinson Jr. is dealing with an ankle injury from last week,
Austin Ekeler suffered his 2nd concussion of the season, and now Chris Rodriguez Jr. has been called up to muddle the backfield even
further. It’s my guess Jeremy McNichols leads the backfield,
but this will be a full-blown committee attack against a Titan
defensive front that has allowed only two backs to exceed 60 yards
this season.
