McConkey has lived up to the draft hype for a team that was desperate
for playmakers at receiver. The Georgia rookie has become the Chargers
WR1, and by far its most consistent pass catcher. He catches a high
percentage of his targets and uses his quickness after the catch,
as he’s 5th among receivers in broken tackles. His separation metrics
and route running are elite, and just a slight uptick in opportunities
could have him become a key piece to a fantasy championship run.
After being the focal point of the passing game the last month,
Otten took a back seat to Mike Evans in his return. He’ll unlikely
see the double-digit target volume of recent weeks, but he should
be able to find plenty of space against the NFL’s worst defense
against tight ends.
It’s an absolute crime that Harrison has seen seven or
more targets in a game only four times this season! He’s
been a highly drafted decoy, while Trey McBride feasts underneath.
The Cardinal offense sputtered last week against the Seahawks,
but the way to attack the Vikings is through the air, as they
are the 6th worst pass defense in the NFL, giving up 2,929 yards.
Harrison makes a big play and finds the endzone in this vital
conference game.
Injuries and a stale offense have this Niner team a shell of
its former self. Samuel in particular looks slow, and dating back
to late last year, has put up far more duds than he has starter
worthy games. Now San Fran has to travel across the country to
possibly play in a good ole’ Western New York blizzard with
a backup quarterback or (one with a gimpy throwing shoulder).
I hate to say it, but the reality is it might be past time to
get Deebo out of your lineup.
It looked as though Hopkins would explode after his first few
games in KC, but since then he’s become a rotational player, and
has been more valuable opening things up for others. He’s only
seen 15 targets in the last three games, and K.C. uses a whole
host of players in the red zone limiting his touchdown ceiling
as well. He’s not the worst WR3 to throw out there, but you might
have an upgrade on your roster.
Jeudy has taken a step forward since Winston has become the starter.
The new WR1 has seen a whopping 28 targets over the last three
weeks, but faces a nasty Denver secondary led by Pat Surtain II.
If Cedrick Tillman is out, Jeudy should see even more attention.
Fire him up as a WR3, but don’t be shocked if he underperforms.
