With the head scratching plays of his rookie year slowly fading
away, Williams has put together a strong fantasy start to 2025.
He’s accounted for 11 total touchdowns, and is limiting
turnovers. Week 6 aside, he’s even offered a few extra points
per game with his feet. He needs to hit more of the easy throws
(his completion percentage dipped into the upper 50% range the
last two weeks) but he’s shown moxie late in games as the
Bears have won three-straight. The Saints have been gamers this
year, but have given up the 5th most fantasy points to the position.
The Steel City geezer kept it humming last week with yet another
200-yard, 2 touchdown game. Sure, his ceiling is capped, but with
bye weeks and injuries thinning the position, a matchup against
the hapless Bengals is worth a look. He’s been willing to
take shots with DK Metcalf, and he’s been money in the redzone
with the lack of a thumper running back. He’s got just enough
juice left to squeeze out of a spot start.
Prescott continues to play some of the best ball of his career,
as he currently sits 2nd in the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns.
There is a good bet that CeeDee Lamb will be back this week, and
a shaky Commander secondary awaits. It’s been a few seasons,
but Dak has totaled eight touchdowns, and over 600 yards passing
in his last two games against Washington. This has the makings
of a shootout, with the current total at a whopping 55.5!
Dart has mainlined some punch into this moribund Giants franchise,
flashing elite athleticism last week against the fading Eagles.
But in Week 7 he leaves the comfy confines of MetLife, to head west
to take on the Broncos. Dart wasn’t great in his only other road
start, a lifeless 26-14 loss to the Saints in Week 5. Denver leads
the NFL with 30 sacks (nine coming last week) and have given up
the 2nd fewest fantasy points to the position. His rushing upside
raises the floor, but is still a risky start.
After torching team leadership at the podium after yet another
loss, the Dolphins are spiraling out of control. With seven interceptions
in only six games, Tua has matched his 2024 season total. With
few passing game weapons outside of Waddle slants, and Achane
screens, the nasty Browns’ pass rush should make it a long
afternoon in the Dawg Pound.
The Boys in Black have quietly strangled opposing quarterbacks,
as they have yet to allow more than 200 yards to a quarterback
so far this season. The young, aggressive pass rushers of the
Falcons harassed Josh Allen Monday night, and will make things
very difficult for whichever hobbled Niner quarterback earns the
start.
