Murray has really had just one good game in three, but in Week
4 he evens things out with a big one against the Commanders’ Swiss
cheese pass defense. They have allowed a league-high nine touchdown
passes and the third-most passing yards (791). That’s 27 FPts/G
while playing Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones and Joe Burrow. With
tight end Trey McBride questionable, Murray hits his outside receivers
early and often. He’s also averaging over 50 yards rushing a game,
but has yet to run one into the end zone in eight straight games.
That streak could end here.
Williams’ progression is obvious from 6.2 fantasy points
in debut, to 13.1 and 27 points last weekend. They are letting
him throw the ball more. I hope he doesn’t have to throw
52 times as in Week 3, but he produced 363 passing yards and his
first two touchdown passes. The Rams’ pass defense, without
All-Pro Aaron Donald, has yielded a ton of yards in three games
(775) and seven touchdown passes while producing just one interception.
Yes, Danny “Dimes.” The Cowboys defense is in disarray. They
can’t stop the run or the pass. They have allowed 185.7 rushing
yards per game, but also 23.4 fantasy points to opposing QBs.
In particular, they allow running quarterbacks to run. Not just
Lamar Jackson, but Deshaun Watson gained significant rushing yards
and Derek Carr even ran one in. Jones can do that. Also, the last
time Dallas was in New York they gave the Giants a 40-0 thrashing
on national television, so I imagine this Giants will be motivated.
Nix is being given the ingredients to be a good fantasy option.
He’s throwing the ball an average of 37.7 times a game.
He’s run for an average of 35.7 yards a game and scored
twice. But this is the Jets and they don’t allow much of
anything. They have allowed 181 passing yards per game, just one
passing touchdown and 20 yards per game on the ground. Nix may
have some good games later in the season, but for now - stay away.
Richardson has been inaccurate for much of the season, completing
just 49.3% of his passes and has thrown three touchdowns and twice
as many picks. He’s a good runner, but the Steelers have
allowed just 25 rushing yards in three games. And they have T.J.
Watt wreaking havoc in the backfield. Nope.
In three games, Goff has yet to reach 20 fantasy points. Why
you might ask with a receiving corps of Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson
Williams and Sam LaPorta? Because the running game of David Montgomery
(4.5 ypc) and Jahmyr Gibbs (5.2) has been too efficient to stop
using them. When you can do that, why pass? Additionally, the
Seahawks defense, particularly the secondary, is young, fast and
talented. I’d try to find another option.
