It’s sad when I have to tell you to start a first-round
fantasy selection, but here we are. Robinson, (ranks 24th among
all RBs) has done very little to justify his high selection, but
in Week 6 he might be able to change that. The Panthers have allowed
a league-high nine rushing touchdowns to opposing RBs and Bijan
owns the only Falcons running back score. If Robinson can’t
get well in this game, when will he ever?
This pick is similar to Robinson in that a player drafted in
the first round hasn’t lived up to expectations. Hall ranks
17th among running backs at 14.7 FPts/G. The Bills have allowed
almost as many fantasy points as the lowly Panthers (31.5 FPts/G).
Rodgers is beat up (ankle) and the only way the Jets win this
game is if Hall carries the load.
Swift was left for dead after three games this season (combined
37-68-0 on the ground and 6-48-0 receiving), but he’s blown up
the past two games (49.5 fantasy points). He’ll face a Jaguars’
run defense which has allowed 27.3 FPts/G to opposing backs (ranked
29th). They have given up the second-most receiving yards to backs
and that’s one of Swift’s strengths.
Sure, Dowdle produced a career-high 19.4 fantasy points Sunday
night, but those expecting more of the same in Week 6 may be disappointed.
He should certainly get the majority of the workload, but the
Lions’ defense has allowed just 233 rushing yards over four
games (58.25 ypg). If he does go off, it would probably be in
the passing game, where he’s scored his only two touchdowns
of the season.
The Ravens have been strong against the run and vulnerable to
the pass this season. Robinson was less than 100% in the last
game, but he’s still the preferred option. The team has also used
Jeremy McNichols near the goal line (three TDs in the last two
games) and has a healthy Austin Ekeler back in the lineup. Add
in four rushing TDs for quarterback Jayden Daniels and it is hard
to predict he reaches the end zone.
Starter Zamir White is dealing with a groin issue, but even if
he was healthy we couldn’t recommend starting him. Alexander
Mattison has been running better than White for most of the season.
Meanwhile, the Steelers have allowed just one rushing touchdown
and one receiving score to the backs.
