Jordan Love

1) Jordan Love @ Jacksonville

Everyones quarterback succeeds when playing the Jaguars’ pass defense. Ok, everyone except Deshaun Watson. Excluding Watson, the Jaguars have yielded an average of 28.6 FPts/G. You were likely starting Love in redraft leagues, but Love is a great choice for daily, too.

2) Kirk Cousins @ Tampa Bay

Cousins is floundering around 19th in fantasy leagues (18.7 FPts/G), but has an opportunity to improve in Week 8 against a Bucs’ pass defense which just got toasted for five touchdown passes Monday night and has yielded 26.7 FPts/G through the first seven contests. They have allowed the third-most passing yards (1,898). They are also vulnerable to running quarterbacks, but that won’t help you this week as Cousins has only run 11 times for minus eight yards.

3) Jameis Winston vs. Baltimore

Winston is the better passer, by far, over Dorian Thompson-Robinson (finger) and unless the 2024 Browns are already in “tank mode” it would’ve been a surprise if Winston wasn’t named the starter. The Ravens have given up a league-high 2,159 passing yards (308.4 ypg) and the third-most TD passes (14).

1) Kyler Murray @ Miami

Murray threw for just 145 yards in Week 7 and only his rushing talents saved his fantasy production (23.7 fantasy points). Now, he heads into unfriendly territory in Miami which has allowed the fewest passing yards in the NFL (989) and a league-low three touchdown passes. Running QBs have fared little better – in six games they have given up just 77 total yards (12.8 ypg).

2) Marcus Mariota vs. Chicago

Jayden Daniels hasn’t been officially ruled out as of Wednesday, but head coach Dan Quinn will be very protective of his star rookie quarterback. Which likely means journeyman Marcus Mariota will be under center. Don’t be fooled by Mariota’s excellent relief job last Sunday (18-of-23 for 205 yards and two touchdowns) against the Carolina Panthers. In Week 8 it’s the Chicago Bears, who rank No.2 against opposing QBs allowing just 14.2 FPts/G. The Chicago defense has more interceptions than touchdown passes allowed (7-4) and are also stingy on running quarterbacks.

3) Bryce Young @ Denver

Remember when Dalton started in Week 3 for Bryce Young and lit the place up (26-of-37 for 319 yards and three TDs)? The world has caught up to Dalton and he’s only managed one double-digit game in his last three starts. Now he’s on the bench after spraining his thumb in a car accident this week. Insert Young. The Broncos are one tough defense and should probably get Patrick Surtain II back from concussion protocol. They have not allowed more than 16.1 fantasy points to any quarterback when playing in Mile High.
