Joking on Kupp as he takes aim at a number of seasonal receiving
records, but I also like Odell Beckham Jr., who has posted double-digit
fantasy points in three of his last four games and is seeing 6+
targets over that span. The Vikings’ pass defense ranks dead last
for allowing opposing wide receivers (41.6 FPts/G) which leaves
plenty of room after Kupp takes his share of the targets. Even
Van Jefferson, who has also produced double-digit fantasy points
in three of his last four games could be an emergency flex play,
though his targets have taken a hit the past two games as OBJ
has become a bigger part of the offense.
Cooper hasn’t cracked the 100-yard mark since Week 8 against
Minnesota, but it’s time for him to help you get to the
championship finals. Prescott should have a big day and both CeeDee
Lamb, the most reliable of the Cowboys receivers, and Cooper should
have big games for the first time since that Vikings game as this
Washington pass defense has allowed a league-high 19 touchdown
catches to wideouts.
With Elijah Moore sidelined for at least one more week, it should
be Crowder (calf) who takes advantage of a weak Jaguars secondary
that has allowed 39 FPts/G to opposing wideouts (ranked 29th).
Crowder has seen the most consistent targets over the past three
games (20 targets) as Zach Wilson has settled back into the role
under center after an injury kept him sidelined from Week 8-11.
Golladay has been the best of the Giants receivers (not saying
much) with Kadarius Tony sidelined by both Covid-19 and an oblique
injury. If Toney is still unable to go that would leave Golladay
trying to beat the Eagles elite corner Darius Slay. In their last
matchup Golladay saw seven targets, caught just three for 50 yards.
Myers will surely see more targets than last time when Jones
attempted just three passes, but the Bills are ranked No. 1 against
fantasy receivers allowing just 26 FPts/G and a league-low five
touchdown catches. Even when Jones looks into the end zone it’s
usually for tight end Hunter Henry, who has nine scores this season,
which ranks No. 1 among all tight ends.
Remember when fantasy owners were excited about the future for
Sutton? That was two years and one major injury ago. Sutton hasn’t
cracked double digits in seven games and in 10-of-14 games this
season. He did have a solid game in the first meeting this season
(8-94-1), but that was with Teddy Bridgewater under center. Drew
Lock is expected to start this weekend which given the Raiders
inability to stop the run should mean a lot of handoffs to Gordon
and Williams. Limited opportunity and having to share those targets
with Tim Patrick, Jerry Jeudy and tight end Noah Fant doesn’t
leave many opportunities for Sutton to shine.
