Predicted Score: Giants 23, Cowboys 20
Dallas: Don't let people fool you into believing that beating a team three times in one season is tough to do. Since 1970, they're have been seventeen teams who have had the chance to beat a team three times in a season… those teams have gone 11-6. Not a bad winning percentage and the Cowboys will have the home-field advantage. What they may not have is Terrell Owens or at least a healthy Owens who is, like it or not, the key ingredient to their offense. The respect he demands from a defense makes Crayton and Witten the great role players they are. Without Owens, the Cowboys are beatable. Sure the offensive line is one of the best in the league and their battle with the Giants front seven will be intriguing to watch but if the Dallas offense continues to produce like it has the last three games and Owens is less than effective, this game will come down to a field goal at the end.
- Start: QB Tony Romo, TE Jason Witten
- Consider: WR Patrick Crayton, RB Marion Barber, WR Terrell Owens
- Sit: RB Julius Jones, WR Terry Glenn
New York Giants: Is the third time the charm? The Giants dropped both games to Dallas this season (35-45, 20-31) but get another shot at revenge, on the road where the Giants have won their last eight games. Eli Manning, who's looked terrible at times throwing balls at the feet of Ike Hilliard or ten feet over the head of 6-5 Plaxico Burress, seems to have his act together these days, even without the services of tight end Jeremy Shockey. Manning went 20 of 27 for 185 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions against Tampa Bay and will need a similar mistake-free performance this week if the Giants are to beat the Cowboys. More critical will be how patient the Giants are with the run game. Their ability to run the ball with Brandon Jacobs and rookie Ahmad Bradshaw will allow Manning to exploit the Dallas secondary. This is probably the most intriguing game of the weekend for me, with the chance of an upset a strong possibility.
- Start: QB Eli Manning, WR Plaxico Burress, RB Brandon Jacobs
- Consider: WR Amani Toomer, RB Ahmad Bradshaw
- Sit: TE Kevin Boss, WR Steve Smith
