Despite coming off a bye and hopefully making some schematic
changes, this Lion defense is still one to target in the run game.
Zeke had his best game of the season last week against the Eagles,
and I anticipate he and Pollard to easily reach 25+ touches between
them as Dak gets worked back carefully.
After an ugly Week 1 loss to the Vikings, the Pack vowed to
get the ball into Jones’s hands more. That following week Jones
ripped off 170 total yards and two touchdowns. After an ugly Week
6 loss to the Jets, the Pack vowed to get the ball into Jones’s
hands more. Yeah, you get the idea. Criminally underused so far
(21st among backs with only 70 carries) despite a career best
5.8 yards-per-carry, look for the Pack to go back to basics against
a Commander team teetering on the brink.
Fournette has been a low efficiency workhorse for the Bucs buoyed
by heavy utilization in the passing game, especially in Week 4,
when he rushed for -3 yards, but had a 7-57-1 receiving line.
Like Green Bay, it’s fine time the Bucs went back to basics,
and with the 1-5 Panthers up next, what better time to do that.
After a hot start, CEH has reverted back to his late 2021 form,
getting around 10 low impact touches in each game over the last
two weeks. He’s begun to cede most 3rd and 2-minute snaps to Jerick
McKinnon, and even Isiah Pacheco looks like a more explosive player
on his incredibly limited touches. Edwards-Helaire rarely gets more
than what’s blocked, and is a low floor/ceiling risk against San
Fran.

Many figured Melvin Gordon and Mike Boone would vie for snaps
in the absence of Javonte Williams, but instead, newly signed
Latavius Murray led the team with 15 carries in Monday’s
crushing overtime loss. Even before Russ was hobbled by a hammy,
this was one of the most dysfunctional offenses in the NFL. Now
you have to untangle the hierarchy of snaps? Big pass on this
backfield as none of the trio has the talent to gamble on.
Worse than teammate Khalil Herbert in nearly every metric and
meaningful stat, Chicago continues to be a travesty not only with
offensive scheme, but personnel as well. Chicago runs the 2nd
fewest plays-per-game in the NFL, and throws only 40% of the time,
so Montgomery is a limited one-trick pony in a circus of an offense.
With a critically low floor, and nearly zero upside, I just can’t
trust Monty on the road against the Pats.
