I know Denver has risen from the wreckage to win five straight,
but I’m not sold. They’ve taken advantage of struggling
back-up QBs the last two weeks, and C.J. Stroud has continued
to toss the rock with historic results. This Texan offense has
proven to be multifaceted, and has the receivers to beat the Broncos
at all three levels.
With stud starters Jackson, Allen and Fields on byes, and backups
all over the place, why not Browning as a stream candidate? In
his first game as a starter last week against the Steelers, Browning
completed over 70% of his passes for 227 yards and a score. He's
still got some elite offensive weaponry, and while he is certainly
not going to win you the week, you could do much worse (looking
at you Tim Boyle).
The last defensive debacle on Thanksgiving was so bad it finally
cost Jack DelRio his job. Will the Commander defense get that
“post firing boost”, or will Tua torch the league’s
worst secondary? Vegas expects a convincing Dolphin victory, and
so do I. Tua is a must start in Week 13.
A lingering triceps injury, and an angry San Fran defense led
to a 31-13 Thanksgiving disaster for Smith and the Seahawk offense.
Unfortunately, there is no rest for the weary, as Smith tries
to right the ship against the league’s most aggressive defense.
The Cowboys have given up the 7th fewest fantasy points to the
position, and have only allowed 200-plus passing yards in four
out of 11 games.
Love has enjoyed the best stretch of the season over the last
few weeks as he’s tossed eight touchdowns to only two picks
over the last three games. As Love and his young receivers continue
to gel, they face a relentless KC defense that has not allowed
a 300-yard passer all season, with only four QBs scoring over
20 fantasy points against them.
Stafford was surgical last week in tossing 4 touchdowns against
the downtrodden Cardinals. Unfortunately, a much stiffer test
awaits. The Browns defense looked pretty ordinary against Denver
last week, and are banged up, but defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz
knows Stafford well from their time in Detroit. Stafford is as
tough as they come, but this one could be nasty.
