Geno has largely failed to recreate the magical 2022 season,
as a banged up offensive line has held this passing game back.
Despite only scoring 13 points and throwing two picks last week
in a loss to Cinci, Smith threw 41 times and his 323 yards were
the second-highest of the season. Arizona has been a “get
healthy” defense the last few weeks, and with a few starters
on the line back, look for Seattle’s passing game to break
out in Week 7.
Hurts was harassed into one of the worst starts of his career
last week against the Jets. The three interceptions tied a career
high, and he looked absolutely defeated on that meek final drive.
Philly returns home against a Miami defense that has been mediocre
at best. With a 51.5 over/under this week (the highest by far
of Week 7 games) Vegas thinks this could be a scoring bonanza.
Every season we get a game that’s a fantasy feast, and this one
could be it!
The Cleveland defense has been relentless this season, and Purdy
was the latest quarterback to get caught in the buzzsaw. He looked
very ordinary in his first regular season loss, missing open receivers
and constantly having to throw into tight windows. But like a
warm spring day, those windows should be much more open as he
faces the worst pass defense in the NFL. Despite injuries to Samuel
and McCaffery, Prudy should have the opportunity to put up QB1
numbers.
In a game that features the worst pass defense in the NFL, unfortunately
for Cousins it also features the NFL’s best pass defense. San
Fran has picked off double the amount of passes (10) than they
have allowed to find the endzone (5). Cousins struggled mightily
last week against the lowly Bears, as it seems the loss of all-world
receiver Justin Jefferson had a major impact. Now imagine that!
With the passing game adjusting and the line continuing to buckle
under pressure, keep Cousins on the bench.
Lawrence and the Jags passing game has been incredibly inconsistent
this season. Drafted as a mid-level QB1, Lawrence has as many
touchdowns as Jimmy Garoppolo and has been outshined by the likes
of Russell Wilson and Sam Howell. Not only is he nursing a sprained
knee on a short week, but it's a road game against a fierce Saints
defense. There are simply too many negatives in this equation
to trust Lawrence.
Somehow Wilson is 4th in the NFL with 12 touchdown passes, and
has been a starter level fantasy quarterback, but his best game
came against a brutal Commander defense, and this Denver passing
game has regressed each week, looking absolutely dreadful last
week against KC. Green Bay has yielded the 10th fewest fantasy
points to the position, and I think Denver tries to win this with
a heavy dose of its backfield.
