We haven’t seen much of Jones since a hamstring injury
in Week 1, but a healthy week of practice and a Denver defense
giving away fantasy points like candy on Halloween on tap, it’s
time to get Jones back in lineups. The Packer offense has stagnated
without the playmaking ability of Jones in the backfield. I don’t
expect a massive volume in his first game back, but Green Bay
really needs this game to stay in the hunt and Jones will do enough
to be worth a start at a fantasy position ravaged by injury.
Despite underwhelming so far this year, the volume remains massive
for Jacobs. He’s seen 25 or more touches in three straight games,
and with the Bears defense up next, the 2022 fantasy stud is in
a prime blow-up spot. With Brian Hoyer potentially at QB look for
a conservative ground based gameplan on the road in Chicago.
Has Pacheco achieved workhorse status for this KC offense? While
the passing game continues to suffer growing pains, Pacheco has
taken his game to another level. He’s now caught at least
one pass in each game this season, and his career high six receptions
last week means he’s beginning to play on more and more
passing downs. With a 17+ touch floor, goal line work, and an
increased role in the passing game, Pacheco is a must start against
a mid-tier Charger rush defense.
The Ravens offense remains a work in progress, and their muddled
running back rotation has been a fantasy nightmare as well. Edwards,
who gets the bulk of the carries, has done next to nothing this
season as multiple lower body injuries seemed to have sapped him
of any juice. Justice Hill has been a nice surprise, but he barely
sees double digit touches each week. The recent activation of
hyped rookie Keaton Mitchell could also throw a wrench into the
backfield share. The inconsistent rotation, combined with the
league’s best run defense, leaves me avoiding everyone.
While Tampa has been an offensive surprise so far this season,
White has had little to do with it. One of the least effective
runners (3.3 yards per carry average), White’s value has
been tied to his solid volume. That is, until Week 6, when White
was held to a season low 10 touches for 38 yards. Ke’Shawn
Vaughn even got his first chances since Week 4, and intriguing
rookie Sean Tucker remains in the shadows. White has barely been
startable with a full share of snaps, so any hit to that could
be fatal.
Cardinals RBs @ SEA
Another committee backfield filled with questionable talent belongs
to the Cardinals. With James Conner on IR, many assumed electric
rookie Emari Demercado would get the first crack at replacing
the vet, yet it was Keaontay Ingram, and newly signed Damien Williams
that saw the bulk of the work. Conner was one of the league’s
true three-down workhorses, and it seems like Arizona is going
to split those carries a few different ways.
