Predicted Score: Buccaneers 20, Rams 17
Tampa Bay: Which Bucs team will show up this week? The pathetic bunch that looked lethargic in a 20-6 loss to Seattle or the down right efficient group that handled the Saints with ease. Speaking of efficient, how about Jeff Garcia last week… two TDs and 243 yards on only 10 completions? Both touchdowns went to Joey Galloway who's made a living playing against the Saints. We'll see how he does against the Rams secondary, which ranks in the middle of the pack against fantasy wide receivers. RB Cadillac Williams made it through last week's game without further injuring his ribs and is expected to start. Those are your only two fantasy plays until QB Jeff Garcia can make last week's numbers the norm instead of the exception.
- Start: WR Joey Galloway, RB Cadillac Williams (inj)
- Consider: QB Jeff Garcia, WR Ike Hilliard
- Sit: RB Michael Pittman, TE Alex Smith, TE Jerramy Stevens
St. Louis: The Rams are in trouble. St. Louis has lost their first two games at home and now play four of its next five on the road. Orlando Pace is out, Steven Jackson has failed too reach 100 yards in either game and Marc Bulger has been sacked 7 times. They've committed costly turnovers and must now try and right the ship against a team coming off one of their biggest wins in the last two years. Torry Holt, Steven Jackson, Marc Bulger, and even Isaac Bruce (8-145) are all worthy of being in your starting lineup but something is missing and that something is the play of the offensive line. Until the big guys up front come together, this team will continue to flounder.
- Start: QB Marc Bulger, RB Steven Jackson, WR Torry Holt,
- Consider: WR Isaac Bruce, K Jeff Wilkins
- Sit: WR Drew Bennett, TE Randy McMichael
