Game Preview
Mike Krueger

Predicted Score: Broncos 28, Raiders 10

Oakland: That friend or co-worker who couldn't stop smiling Monday morning was… let me guess… a LaMont Jordan or Ronald Curry owner? Jordan made some fantasy owners look like geniuses with his 159 total yards and Curry emerged as Josh McCown's favorite target with 10 catches, 133 yds, & 1 TD. But hold everything, we may be adding a new QB to the mix. Daunte Culpepper may start this week thanks to a cracked finger and a mild ankle sprain suffered by McCown. Both QBs took reps with the first team offense on Thursday. It will be tough for Jordan and Curry to repeat those numbers against the Broncos defense but sitting them after their Week 1 performances might be even tougher.

  • Start: RB LaMont Jordan, WR Ronald Curry
  • Consider: WR Jerry Porter, TE Zach Miller, QB Josh McCown/Daunte Culpepper
  • Sit:WR Travis Taylor

Denver: The Broncos beat the Bills 15-14 on a last second field goal by Jason Elam but actually had a decent offensive showing. Travis Henry totaled 183 yds rushing/receiving on 26 touches while QB Jay Cutler threw for over 300 yards and 1 score. Javon Walker looked like a #1 fantasy wideout with 15 targets, 9 catches, and 119 yds. The Raiders gave up 3 TDs to Jon Kitna last week and look for Denver to keep the ball rolling with Walker, Marshall, and even Brandon Stokley getting into the act…. should be an easy victory for Denver at home.

  • Start: QB Jay Cutler, RB Travis Henry, WR Javon Walker, WR Brandon Stokley, TE Daniel Graham, K Jason Elam
  • Consider: WR Brandon Marshall
  • Sit:TE Tony Scheffler
