Game Preview

Predicted Score: Eagles 27, Redskins 17
Washington: The Redskins surprised nobody by running the ball last week with Clinton Portis (17-98, 1 TD) and Ladell Betts (17-59). Get to used to it as Washington wants to play a ball-control allowing their young QB to "manage the game" without making mistakes. Head coach Joe Gibbs got what he wanted (except for two INTs) with a boost from #2 wideout Antwaan Randle El's 162 yds. Can we expect more of the same in Week from Mr. El? Perhaps… CB Lito Sheppard will miss the game with a sprained right MCL.
- Start: RB Clinton Portis, TE Chris Cooley, WR Santana Moss, Redskins D/ST
- Consider: WR Antwaan Randle El, RB Ladell Betts, QB Jason Campbell
- Sit: N/A
Philadelphia: Donovan McNabb appeared to be 75% healthy last week against Green Bay. His timing was off with the receivers and he looked a step slow when flushed out of the pocket. He finished 15-33 for 184 yds and 1 TD. The Eagles will need a better performance against a solid Redskins defense or face the reality of a 0-2 start. Starting wide receivers Reggie Brown and Kevin Curtis only had 3 receptions out of their 10 targets. Brian Westrbrook looked normal averaging 4.3 yards per carry and catching 6 balls for 43 yds. In their two meetings last year, Westbrook averaged 138 total yards but never found the endzone.
- Start: QB Donovan McNabb, RB Brian Westbrook, WR Reggie Brown, WR Kevin Curtis
- Consider: TE L.J. Smith (inj),
- Sit:TE Matt Schobel, Eagles-D/ST
