Predicted Score: Colts 30, Broncos 20
Denver: The Broncos have been living dangerously on their way to an 2-0 start but their skiddish play finally caught up with them last week as they got it handed to 'em by the Jaguars 23-14 at home, giving up186 yards rushing in the process. Meanwhile Travis Henry came back to earth rushing for only 35 yards against the Jekyll and Hyde Jacksonville defense. Speaking of defense the Colts defense appears to be much improved and should give the Broncos fits all day. This game won't be as close as the score indicates with Denver likely tacking on a late garbage-time score. QB Jay Cutler is complaining of a sore ankle but did practice this week and is expected to play.
- Start: RB Travis Henry, WR Javon Walker
- Consider: QB Jay Cutler, WR Brandon Marshall, WR Brandon Stokley, TE Daniel Graham, K Jason Elam
- Sit: TE Tony Scheffler
Indianapolis: The Colts continue to be one of the best teams in the league and appear to be well rounded with playmakers on both sides of the ball. Their offense can shift gears focusing on Manning or Addai when the situation calls. Addai may see a heavy load this week, as the Broncos are weak against the run. Here's a little self-analysis from Denver DB Champ Bailey - "We haven't stopped the run all year. So I know they're going to do that." Yeah, I agree Champ. Look for Manning to pick on Dre Bly and post modest numbers but Addai's gets the call this week grinding out the game in the fourth quarter. The Colts have won 21 of their last 22 games at home.
- Start: QB Peyton Manning, RB Joseph Addai, WR Marvin Harrison, WR Reggie Wayne, K Adam Vinatieri, TE Dallas Clark
- Consider: Colts D/ST
- Sit: WR Anthony Gonzalez
